Hungry Hippo!

Here is my entry for week 6 Moss &Poppy over at Passion for ProMarkers.

This week there was also a twist to include something tasty.Personally I don’t think you can get much tastier than this yummy Basic Grey paper from their Cupcake range.

I used the Burnt Umber for darker shading,next I coloured over the top with the Moss leaving blank areas.I then used the Blender all over drawing ink into the uncoloured areas to create the lighter patches.I outlined in Blue Pearl followed by the Blender again.I also did this with the wording.Because it caused some discolouration to the poor hippo’s teeth I filled them in with Inkssentials white gel pen and although the highlights are already on the stamp I used the pen there too for that Optrex-bright sparkle.Instant makeover – if only it were that simple in real life!The image,wording and paper are all mounted on DCWV Old World card using Plain and Scallop oval Nesties and Scallop Sentiment punch.Maybe I try too hard to be perfect as it took quite a lot of faffing to make sure the matting and layering matched up on the left side.Finished with a button and two colours of thread twisted together.
