For my card I’ve used just two of the elements from Ella the flower girl – Wedding digital stamps series.As you can see you can use these for more than just Wedding cards.Both have been coloured with Promarkers.I’ve added pearls to the circles on the bouquet and to adorn the corner each in different sizes.I was lucky to have this piece of rainbow organza ribbon left over from another project in colours to match this card.

A froggy thank you

At Craft Your Passion this week we have a colour challenge of Red,Green and Cream.For full details on how to play along please visit the challenge blog.While you’re there take a look at the beautiful DT and GDT’s creations.

For my card I’ve used Frog and Watering Can from CoCo Dingo.Because this card is cut from Nestabilities Labels 1 it’s quite a dinky card the image is quite small so I used Polychromos Pencils to colour the image.To finish the card I used a Martha Stewart Flower Stamp and Punch with some threaded buttons in the centres.

For my card I’ve used the gorgeous Girl Bear from Digi Doodle Shop.I’ve coloured her with Promarkers and used Glossy Accents on her eyes,nose and also on the heart and leaves.Her dress and headband have been paper pieced to give texture.I chose a ditzy print in a coordinating paper and the one on the headband actually has a linen effect although it’s hard to tell in the pic.

This card is for my Great Niece’s first birthday.Such a special time for their family and a major milestone for their little one.Ahhh,I remember it well.

What with a Christmas card,New Home card and now a birthday one I’m sure they’ll be fed of receiving yet another card made by me!

It’s CHRISTMAS at Craft Your Passion this week!Now’s the chance to join us with any last minute Festive makes!You could be in for the chance to win digi stamps from Lauretta’s Digital Stamps and CoCoDingo!!And please stop by to check out the fabulous DT and GDT’s creations too.

I’ve used Mousy Christmas from Lauretta’s Digital Stamps to create my card.This little cutie has been coloured with Promarkers,had his teeth whitened with an Inssentials gel pen and his eyes,nose and bauble have been given some shine with Glossy Accents.While they were still wet I dropped a gem into the centre for some sparkle.

I chose the die because I thought it had quite an ornamental feel to it and balanced the space on the left by punching 2 holes and tying a bow.The ‘plaque’ the sentiment has been stamped on is from the same die set but I turned it sideways and trimmed the top and bottom off.I distressed all the edges to give a mousy nibbled feel.

For my card I’ve used Mother Bird & Babies from Digi Doodle Shop .I’ve seen this technique of colouring onto kraft cardstock and thought I’d give it a try.Here I’ve used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and blended them with Low Odour Thinners for oil colours.These pencils are oil based rather than wax,like kids pencils.I’m a bit of a cheapskate so I used cheap cotton buds instead of a paper stump to move the colours around.I’m quite pleased at out how the colours pop but hmmmm…. think I need to hone my colouring skills a little.Maybe I’ve just gotten so used to using Promarkers.

This card is for my Niece and her DH as they’ve just moved home to accommodate their growing family.

It’s made such a refreshing change to making Christmas card I can tell you.As I’ve finally finished making mine now I suppose it’s a new beginning for me too!

Here’s a closer view of all the sparkle.

For my card I’ve used one of the adorable Sweet pea Fairies.You can buy these individually or as a whole set.She’s coloured with a mix of Promarkers and Copic Atyou Spica pens.I’ve applied Diamond Stickles to her wings for extra oomph.The edges of the flowers have also been ‘iced’.Gemstones cardstock has been used to give even more shimmer.Well,if you can’t go overboard with the glitter and glitz on a fairy card,when can you?Oh,it made such an enjoyable change not to make Christmas card.Mind you if you still have a few to make she could easily be adapted to make some pretty last minute festive makes.

Here I’ve used the  beautiful Dove image from CoCoDingo as a Christmas image but it would make a serene sympathy or thinking of you type card.I’ve coloured with Promarkers,using the Blender on the dove and around the edges.The dots amongst the foliage have been coloured with a Sky Blue Copic Spica pen,altho’ the glitter doesn’t show.I’ve finished off with lots of gems…. well,because it’s Christmas!Who wouldn’t love a few sparklers this time of year?

…and this little piggy did lunch!

I’ve used Let’s Do Lunch from Digi Doodle Shop for my card.They’ve been coloured with Promarkers.I then went over with the Blender pen to soften the colours a little.I also layered up the piggies to add some dimension.

The idea just popped into my head to do this.I don’t know why I always set myself up for these things.I really hate fiddly cutting out!I don’t seem to have a part of my brain that says ‘That’s really not a good idea’!!I coloured the bottom image then coloured and cut out the piglets.Next I coloured and cut out just the middle one.I shaped them with my fingers and adhered them using sillicone glue so that I could vary the height of each piece.If you notice in the pic the feet are stuck down virtually flat.This gave more roundness to their bodies.Just what I set out to achieve – so maybe it was worth it after all!

I’ve coloured them using Promarkers and added some Polar White Flower Soft to make the trims on their hats fluffy and to give them some nice crisp snow to stand on.The bow on the velvet ribbon is actually fake.I don’t think you could tie a real one with this stuff very easily so I devised a way of adding one.With my zero sewing skills I made a loop then sewed the two ends together.Next I wrapped some more as tightly as I could around the middle of the loop and stitched it to it.The trick is NOT to cut the ribbon to length first that way you can pull it nice and taut then just snip it off once you’ve finished sewing.
