I’m sad as this is my last card for Aifactory. These have been the sweetest images to work with.It was a hard choice but sometimes something has to give 😦 I’m grateful to Tammy who picked me for the team and also to Mia who creates the most wonderful images.I’ve had a blast!

You do not have to use an AIF image but we would love it if you did and you get an extra entry. You can find some great images in the store here. Don’t forget to take a look at the DT’s fabulous work while you’re there.

For my card I’ve used the delightful Ella the Ballerina Digital Stamp from AiFactory. She’s been watercoloured with Distress Inks.I’ve teamed her with some pretty K & Co papers, including the quote, and some lovely shimmery pearlescent card. Now,I’m totally rubbish at anything needlecraft wise but one thing I can make successfully are these rosettes, either from ribbon or,as in this case, lace.I’ve topped it with another handmade element. This is the first ribbon rose I’ve ever made.I used a quilling tool to wind it round, twisting it every now and then.More stitching holds it all together.I did actually glue it to the lacy rosette tho’ *blush*
Supplies :

The theme at AiFactory Challenges this week is Layer It Up.So we’dlove to see your creations with lots of layers. You have until 11:59EST on Wednesday July 27th to upload your project using the link below. You do not have to use an AIF image but we would love it if you did and you get an extra entry. You can find some great images in the store here. Don’t forget to take a look at the DT’s fabulous work while you’re there.

I’ve used some of the images from My First Rainbow Digital Stamps Collection from AiFactory. I chose to make a Stair Step Fold to create a little scene using these fabulous papers as a starting point. All the images have been paper pieced and in fact the only colouring is on her eyes.I used a fineliner pen and a white gel pen to give her a twinkle in her eyes.Rather than cut out the individual bands on the rainbow I actually layered it up cutting away the bottom bands to reveal the colour underneath.I finished the card with some pretty ribbon I found in my stash.
A revelation?!
Whilst making this card to make sure I got the colours of the rainbow in the correct order I scribbled down the first letters of the well known saying Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain :

I also happened to have a recently purchased Core’dinations Cardstock pad to hand.I always wondered why it was called Roy G.Biv.A strange name I thought.Could it be the designers moniker?Hee hee – after writing these letters out the penny finally dropped!!So if you have this pad or have just pondered over the title now you know!
Supplies :
Images : My First Rainbow Digital Stamps Collection from AiFactory
Papers & Card : DP K & Co,Coloured card Papermania Textured Capsule A4 Colossal Pack,White card from Core’dinations Roy G.Biv Cardstock pad

You do not have to use an AIF image but we would love it if you did and you get an extra entry. You can find some great images in the store here. Don’t forget to take a look at the DT’s fabulous work while you’re there.

I’ve used Princess Digital Stamp from AiFactory for my card.Isn’t she pretty? She’s been coloured with ProMarkers including the Gold Metallic on her crown.I layered her up on some My Minds Eye papers, the photo anchors were from an embelllishment sheet in the paper pack, and some coordinating card.I’ve embossed a strip of card and laid a punched row of flowers over the top. This is the first time I’ve used it and it was another bargain from my local craft warehouse.I thought £7.99 was a fabby price for an EK Success Slim Edger Punch.Do you see the cute little metal flowers in the bottom left corner?Another bargain from my local craft warehouse. They’re a little like staples and I think you’re supposed to set them with a machine but I just poked the arms through the paper and used my fingers to bend them over.Easy peasy.

This week at AiFactory Challenges it’s Double Time. We’d love to see two of something on your projects. You have until 11:59EST on Wednesday July 13th to upload your project using the link below. You do not have to use an AIF image but we would love it if you did and you get an extra entry. You can find some great images in the store here. Don’t forget to take a look at the DT’s fabulous work while you’re there.

Here is Ella at Peace. She’s one of several little cuties in the Ella Collection. They can all be found at AiFactory.I’ve kept the design of my card simple as I really wanted the image and colouring to be the main focus. She’s been coloured with ProMarkers.I also wanted a clean look to the card as the colours are so strong.Just love these papers! And they were a bargain.I half filled a pizza box with 12 x 12 papers for just £8.99 at Coleman’s Craft Warehouse. They estimated this would be about 75 but when I got home and counted them there were 85 papers and 10 of the most gorgeous printed vellums. I wasn’t quite sure what to add as my 2 somethings and after pulling out every embellishment I own, plumped for these rather scrummy flower brads.

For my card I’ve used Toy Train Clipart. As you can see I’ve flipped the image as I felt it looked better that way. That’s the beauty of digital images.I then decided to coat the image in clear ultra thick embossing enamel. It’s so much easier than using normal embossing powder as you don’t have to keep layering it up to get the result you want.As for my favorite embellishment…well…it had to be… BUTTONS!Love ’em.I managed to sneak in some baker’s twine.I couldn’t have put them on my card naked!!

It’s Summer Fun at AiFactory Challenges this week. You have until 11:59EST on Wednesday June 22nd to upload your project using the link below. You do not have to use an AIF image but we would love it if you did and you get an extra entry. You can find some great images in the store here. Don’t forget to take a look at the DT’s fabulous work while you’re there.

I’ve used an image from Surf’s Up Ready For Swim Dudes to create this side step card.I thought this style would be ideal for the shape of this little guy plus it meant I could add lots of waves using one of my fave punches.I also added some acrylic dew drops.Just love using these on water themed cards and I have a ton as I bought the ones they sell as table decorations rather than the more expensive ones for crafters. The sentiment looks a little fuzzy here but I think the camera homed in on the image rather than the whole card.I’m going to save this card for my DS1’s Birthday in December!Apart from not knowing too many surfing phrases this will be pretty apt as he will be 10!
