I thought 60’s Fashion by Crafty Sentiments Designs would be perfect for this colour combo especially all coloured up in the style of an old photograph.I even shied away from normal skintones to add to the effect,tho’ I was tempted!She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers and a few white gel pen highlights have been added too.The paper rose started out white and the leaf green but I decided to give them a more dramatic look by changing them with the Black Copic Marker.The ribbon and buttons are from the same collection as the papers.

The apple of my eye

Here’s the most adorable Apple Sprite Holding a Candy Apple by Aurora Wings.After printing onto kraft card I coloured her up with Spectrum Noir Pencils,adding a few white gel pen highlights.I die cut an aperture into another piece of kraft and die cut the scalloped border before overlaying it on this cute apple paper.I stamped a sentiment then cut it into a banner shape.These stamps are fantastic for cards as they’re quite small.So glad I found them 🙂 Some baker’s twine and a button have been added as the finishing touches.

The challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week is Halloween Decoration.Drop on by to join in the fun and be in with the chance of winning a super prize.Don’t forget to take a look at some fabulous inspiration by the talented DT while you’re there.

I wanted to make a rosette style decoration but I wanted it big!So after much head scratching along with a good measure of trial and error I came up with the solution…3 strips of 12″ x 4″ all scored every ¼” then joined together.Yay 😀  Count – Dracula by Crafty Sentiments Designs makes a perfectly spooky centrepiece too!He’s been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers and Black Soot Distress Ink has been blended around the edge.

I found the fabulous freebie sentiment here.I twisted a couple of lengths of raffia together to create the hanger.The spider,would you believe,is recycled from an old pair of my DD1’s shoes and the buttons were snipped off a couple of garments that weren’t fit enough for charity collections then threaded with just the orange raffia.

Having already made all my 2015 Christmas cards I thought I’d make a start on NEXT year’s ones!!Unusual for me. Normally I’m finishing them and writing them on the last posting date 😉 Can you see my halo shining?Anyway…on to this beautiful little angel instead…she’s called Little Winged Friends – Christmas Gift by Bildmalarna.I’m so sad they’e stopped making these little cuties but I’ve managed to source a few here and there.I’ve stamped then coloured onto Neenah Desert Storm card with my Crafter’s Companion Spectrum Noir Pencils.A sprinkling of Frantage around the edges to create some interest.The patterned papers are Forever Friends Christmas Kraft Notes that I managed to find in a sale at my local craft warehouse and I’ve used various dies to decorate along with a couple of flat backed pearls.Can you spot them 🙂
