It Bee all yellow!

I’ve taken the most adorable Bugaboo Brats Bugs – Girl Bee by Bugaboo Stamps and coloured her up with Graph’It Markers.The flower and bobbly bits on the end of her antennae (yeah,technical I know!) have had added sparkle from a Gold Glitter Shake Marker.After shading her wings,pulling the colour out for a softer look with the Graph’It Blender Pen,I coated them in Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.

The rest of the card has been kept fairly simple with hexagonal die cuts of spotty & stripey papers.I placed a greeting on top of one.This actually comes from Bees – Birthday from Bugaboo Stamps but I thought it would work well here too 🙂 I’ve added some tiny black gems to her eyes,also to the ‘i’ and exclamation mark.I can’t take credit for the idea tho’.This is just the type of detail that the inspirational and super talented Bonnie,with whom I have the pleasure of working alongside at Craft Your Passion,adds – and I usually forget!LOL XD….To complete the card I’ve stretched a length of ribbon across the bottom threaded on a chipboard button.Have to admit yellow isn’t a colour I usually go for but it suits this gal perfectly 🙂

Orange you hippo to see me?

So it’s the last week of the month long Favourite Colour Combo challenge atJust Some Lines.Where does the time go!To play along you need to use a Just Some Lines image to enter and you could win a digi if you’re picked as part of the Top 3!

I’ve coloured up the delightful Happy Hippo 2 by Just Some Lines with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers keeping to an ORANGE &  AQUA colour scheme.Of course I just had to use this beautiful Teresa Collins Fabrications paper 🙂 I’ve decorated it up with some diecut pieces but still allowed the paper to shine through.For the sentiment I didn’t have quite the right shade of ink but found this second generation stamping quite well.Some teeny tiny gems have been added to the flowers centres for a little sparkle 🙂

I’ve used the cute Anime DJ Digi Stamp by  Kenny K Downloads and she’s been coloured with Copic Ciao & Sketch Markers.The star on her sleeve has been coloured with a silver gel pen and just had to give her wide eyes a coating of 3D Crystal Lacquer 🙂 The paper was a freebie printable from Free Vintage Digital Stamps.I managed to find some coordinating cardstock in one of my collections,along with the black 🙂 The musical note piece is some  Whitewash Core’dinations card embossed and sanded.All edges have been distressed.A length of faux suede strip has been tied around the middle and some black gems have been added to the bottom corner.I was going to add a you rock type sentiment stamp but then decided to add one that says ‘Just a note’ – geddit?LOL

I love Red,White & Blue

We’re into the 3rd week of the month long Favourite Colour Combo challenge at Just Some Lines.To play along you need to use a Just Some Lines image to enter and you could win a digi if you’re picked as part of the Top 3!

I thought I’d go for Red,White & Blue this week.Not just for patriotic cards – I love the crispness of it 🙂 I’ve coloured the main part of the adorable Girl Holding a heart shape balloon by Just Some Lines with Copic Ciao & Sketch Markers.For her balloon I’ve paper pieced it using a beautiful gem effect design from the First Edition Neroli paper pad.I think it gives the effect of a foil balloon 🙂 This pad really caught my eye at my local craft warehouse and it had the added bonus of having a whopping 30% off 😀 I also found these cute ‘n’ quirky alphabet stamps for £1.99 so I just had to use them alongside this gal.I’ve added a length of ribbon,a layered up Prima flower with a pearl center and a couple of pearly heart topped pins to tie it all in.

Fancy that!

 

*My internet connection has been shockingly bad this week and so this post is going up late.Apologies to my Teamies.*

For my card I’ve used the beautiful Ruffles by Stitchy Bear Stamps along with Painted Garden Pack 1 by Panda Bear Designs,both available from  Stitchy Bear’s Digi Outlet.I’ve coloured her with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers and teamed the papers with kraft.I created a fancy square mat and lacy border using one of my fave PATP sets 🙂 A few punched butterflies with gem bodies have been scattered across the card.The hand cut banner sentiment was tucked in just behind this girl’s skirt.

Krafty Love!

*This has been posted late.I’ve had terrible internet connection probs.Sorry to Jenn and my Teamies.*

We’re into a new month,as well as a New Year,at Just Some Lines so that also means a new challenge!This month we are looking for your Favourite Colour Combo 🙂 To play along you need to use a Just Some Lines image to enter and you could win a digi if you’re picked as part of the Top 3!

I’ve gone for a red,white & kraft combo using the beautiful Emo Romantic by Just Some Lines,coloured with Copic Ciao Markers.Love ♥ this combo – not just for Christmas!Teamed her with some magazine freebie papers layered onto white.The kraft matt for the image,which has a punched edge,and tag have been cut from another card blank to match the base perfectly.I wanted to punch some hearts into the image piece but found that all the shapes would have come out the wrong way round because of the way you had to insert the card 😦 After digging around I rediscovered a box of corner punches I purchased from a catalogue some years ago and I think this one works wonderfully!Simply added a glittery red button threaded with some jute twine -just adore this stuff 😀 – to finish.
