Which Treat is Witch ;)

Oh my,Witch’s Broom by Crafty Sentiments Designs is just too cute to spook isn’t she?!She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers.I’ve seen these charming picnic type baskets around for a while and thought I’d make a Halloween themed one to go with her.The papers are quite pretty but have the perfect colour palette for this time of year,well at least I think so 😉 Once assembled I fussy cute the little sweetie out and adhered her to the side.To decorate I added a couple of paper twine threaded buttons,a paper raffia ribbon bow (love how you can fan this stuff out) and a tag tied to that with more paper twine.Seeing as this is a picnic basket I had to add some of these ‘exceedingly good’ Halloween themed cakes – LOL 😛 Sorry to any folks from outside the UK who don’t know what I’m talking about and this may seem like the ramblings of a madwoman – mind you,you may not be that far wrong – LOL 😀

A Fair-y Amount of Candy ;)

Here’s the sweet and adorable Candy Corn Fairy with Hat and Wand by Aurora Wings.She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers and of course,as she’s a fairy,the obligatory glitter in the form of Stickles this time.After seeing a hexagonal box made on a Candy Punch Box Board,which I don’t have,I wondered if there would be a way round that?!With much fiddling with dimensions to get the size I wanted and a long reach heart punch I managed it.I stuffed it with some yummy Halloween sweets 🙂 Even tho’ we give away goodies to the Trick or Treater’s that come to our door I usually make a little something extra for my own kids.Altho’ given the angle the photo has been taken at the tag with the fairy on looks very much larger IRL it isn’t!But I don’t mind as it showcases this lil’ beauty off a treat – or shouild that be Trick or Treat! 😀

A Clutch Bag Box Full of Cuteness :)

It’s New Release time at Crafty Sentiments!There are four fabulous new digi stamps.

I decided to make this rather cute clutch bag style box for the rather cute Let’s See by Crafty Sentiments Designs.Isn’t she a darling? 🙂 She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers.The base for the box has been made from kraft card and I’ve layered up a strip of DP with some coordinating card.Punches and dies add some extra detail.A length of ribbon and a button from the same collection as the paper have been used to embellish.I’ve usually seen these made up with a few matching greeting cards to go inside but here I’m thinking a nice,yummy bar of chocolate.I know what I’d rather find in my handbag 😉

Seeing Eye to Eye ;)

Rather than go down the Halloween route with Noah,The Lil Monster by  Zap Pow Designs I made a quirky  friendship card – or maybe that should be fiendship card 😉 First I opened him up in Word,then after resizing and copying,flipped him horizontally,positioned just so and finally Grouped to make one picture.I decided to do some fun paper piecing with him/them!The paper was a lovely,thick quality so I cut the eye section out using a craft knife to give extra dimension.As Noah has such defined lines it made him a dream to cut out and being able to do so carefully it means I have leftovers to make another pair 🙂 To overcome the problem of them each having a coloured tooth I filled in over the paper with a white gel pen.Their eyes have been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers.The hearts are brads positioned over the original drawn ones.The line I chose from the Bingo Board is  Twine,Image and Brads.

It’s kinda funny when the kids say our dog is “Mummy’s best friend”,as opposed to man’s,because she devotes her days to following me,whimpering and scratching at any door that comes between us I call her “Mummy’s best fiend”.

Here’s a little story about said “fiend”.Whilst shopping I thought I would get my poor left behind Socks a treat.When I got back I’d just brought the last bag of
shopping in and got ready to unpack only to find somebody had already started!

In moments like these you cant help but say “Oh,what have you done?”

Not liking being in trouble with her Mummy she crawled across the floor on her belly and ended up trying her hardest to get me to forgive her with a tickle under the chin.

But,of course,you can’t resist a little face like that,can you?! ♥

I suppose at least she only took what was hers and not the bar of chocolate I’d bought as a treat for myself 🙂

Isn’t Molly – Looking Pretty by Crafty Sentiment Designs just the sweetest?!Coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers and fussy cut.So,I really had fun pulling out forgotten stash,dusting down and using it – for a change 😉 Whilst in the mood to deplete my ever growing stash supplies I took the opportunity to create a patchwork background for Molly with paper scraps leftover from other crafty projects.To make it easy for you here’s the list of the G’s : Girl,Green,Glitter,Gems,Grosgrain,Gromlets (or Wallace& Gromlets as I like to call them) & Greeting.I did use glue as well – but I guess that doesn’t really count LOL 😉

At Craft Your Passion this week the challenge is Where There’s Hope.We have the fabulous A Day For Daisies as our sponsor too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT inspiration,they’ve done a wonderful job.

I’ve coloured up the most gorgeous Wings by A Day For Daisies with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers.Some Diamond Stickles have been added to her eyelid and just a smattering over her wings as I didn’t want to coat them completely.I kept the rest of the card simple to allow the image to shine 🙂 The card base has been made from kraft and just one layer of torn and distressed paper covers that.I found these beautiful words on the internet and retyped them in Word then once trimmed edged in black to compliment the frame around the image.

Here’s a clearer view (think my face detector thingy is switched on on my camera) :

A length of vintage seam binding has been tied in a bow around still letting the image be seen through.A feather has been tucked in behind with a couple of pearl topped pins pushed through the bow.As the ends were exposed I adhered two clear beads to save any accidents – mostly for my own safety,methinks 😉
