Just a reminder that the Fall Colors challenge at Just Some Lines is still running until 11:59pm EST on Thursday 4th October.Plenty of time to join us then! You could be in the running for a super prize and if you play along with a Just Some Lines image you can choose to create an Anything Goes project or follow the theme.
For my card I’ve used the adorable O’Little Fireman.Just look at that cute little puppy dog peeping out from behind him!I’ve coloured with Copic Ciao Markers and added White Souffle Pen highlights. His clothing maybe a little brighter than your average firefighters uniform but I thought I’d go with the colour theme on this one.Just had to use these K & Co papers, mounted on kraft, with him too.Metal embellishments seemed fitting for a boys card so I added some brads, stamping the greeting in Stazon on the jumbo one.Rather than ribbon I wrapped some paper raffia around the border strip to carry on the Autumn/Fall flavour. This card is for my son who’s Birthday is today!!And don’t we know it…he’s been giving us a countdown on how many days ’til his Birthday for the last month!Bless 🙂

It’s time to play Bingo! at Craft Your Passion this week.We have Simon Says Stamp and The Paper Shelter as our fabulous sponsors.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!
Here’s a little peek at the board :

For my card I’ve used Magic Bubble Bath from The Paper Shelter.Ain’t she a cutie! You get so much in this set too!Outlines ,coloured images, backing paper and a composition of the character on the background etc..So real value for money! She’s been coloured with ProMarkers and I’ve added 2 lots of sparkle with Frosted Lace Stickles on the bubbles and Diamond Stickles to give sparkly fairy wings, just as they should be 😉 I kept it quite simple as I wanted to show the backing paper that comes in the set.I Distress Inked the edges around the die cut image. Then I roughed all the edges and those on the background piece.I added a the die cut doily just to break it up a little and also popped some flowers from the die that came with it.I threaded some clear buttons with paper twine and placed them in the centre of each flower.
I followed the bottom line on the board.Flowers,Distress,Buttons.

Image and backing paper : Magic Bubble Bath from The Paper Shelter
Mediums : ProMarkers,Distress Ink,Frosted Lace and Diamond Stickles

Just a reminder that the 2 Different Colouring Mediums challenge at Just Some Lines is still running until 11:59 EST Thursday 20th September.Plenty of time to join us then! You could be in the running for a super prize and if you play along with a Just Some Lines image you can choose to create an Anything Goes project or follow the theme.
For my card I’ve used the super cheeky and extremely adorable Petit Pot – getting in from Just Some Lines. After printing onto watercolour card I coloured with my AquaMarkers.Once I’d left it until it was completely dry I added extra depth to the shadowed areas using Polychromos pencils.I allowed the texture of the card to really come through on the pot and shaded in the background lightly to let it show again.I tried hard to get some transparency to the wings by softly colouring so it as if you are seeing through them. This is something I’ve never done before and think it turned out pretty well.I kept the layout quite simple so as not to detract too much attention from the image but couldn’t resist making a cute little pinwheel 🙂 Not only is it a sweet addition it’s also fully functional.

Can you see?….It’s moved! In my vast button collection I actually have some that have one large single hole in the middle.Perfect!I made up and adhered the whole of the card front, pierced a hole where I wanted the pinwheel to be,put the legs of the brad through the button and attached the pinwheel. After that I glued the whole lot onto the card base.Although it might have been easier to just make the whole card then add the pinwheel it just makes it a neater job and means the legs of the brad aren’t showing on the inside of the card.I found this sentiment stamp whilst rooting around my stuff and thought it was pretty apt!
Supplies :
Image : Petit Pot -getting in from Just Some Lines
Sentiment : Dovecraft In Bloom wooden backed stamp
