It’s Anything Goes at AiFactory Challenges this time. This challenge will run for two weeks instead of the usual one.You don’t need a AIFactory image to join in but there are some freebies if you’d like one of their images. You have until Wednesday 26th January 11:59 EST to upload your project. If you’re uploading your project from an online gallery please tag your project with AIF064 so that we can find it easily and leave you a comment. So stop by the challenge site to check out full details.Don’t forget to take a look at the wonderful DT creations while you’re there!

I’ve used the delighful Ballerina Digital Stamps Set for my card.I can see this being a great addition to scrapbook pages for the little ballerina in your life too.I’ve taken three elements from the kit.The ballerina, wand and ballet slippers.I’ve also tried something new.Instead of reaching for the usual Promakers I’ve coloured her in Paint,as I don’t have a fancy graphics programme on my antiquated computer.I cut the wand out and placed it in her hand. The ballet slippers have been hung on a brad.Of course being a girly card I had to add Stickles and bling!!

To play along and be in it to win it check the challenge blog for full details.Whilst you’re there why not draw some inspiration from the DT’s Festive creations!
I’ve used an Imaginisce Polar Bear stamp I bought for 99p!He’s still just as gorgeous as last year. Now,to cut down on time I tend to choose a style of card and mix it up a bit with colours/papers/stamps/embellies etc. So this wil be my signature card this Christmas.I also try to come up with a design that doesn’t use up too much DP or card but still has an interesting feature. This card has some Cuttlebug embossed acetate attached to the front (‘tho it doesn’t show too well).I’ve even made some other cards with embossed vellum too just to mix it a little further. There’s little waste as I’m stamping onto the piece of card I’ve trimmed off the base.I’ve coloured him with Promarkers, using the Blender on his body to blur any harsh lines and sat him on a snowy mound of, the aptly named,Polar White Flower Soft!

At Pear Tree Designs this week we’d love to see your COLOURFUL card/projects.As always we have a fabulous sponsor,Cardmadfairy’s Creations who’s very generously offering the prize of 4 x Christmas Digital Images for one lucky person!!
So don’t wait any longer.Pay the challenge site a visit for full rules on how to play and to see some inspiration from the wonderful DT creations.
We all need a little colour in our lives to escape this dreary, grey November weather.Well,I suppose it depends what part of the world you’re in,but it’s definitely dark and dismal where I live. The only good thing about the darker evenings is being able to crank up the heating and cosy down in front of the fire.OK so it’s not a real one but it has some fake coal and a realistic flame – near enough for me !.My parents had a real open fire and it was great at Christmas/Family gatherings or even if we paid them a visit during the cold Winter. So warm and inviting. That is if you could feel any heat through the dogs who lay in front of it absorbing every last centigrade into their thick, shaggy coats!!Why did they need to do that?!
Anyway enough of tripping down memory lane.Back to the card.
As soon as I saw the new Button Floral and Buttons stamp plates by Sam Poole I had to have them! Now,I love ALL my crafty goodies dearly but buttons hold a very special place in my heart.Don’t know what it is about them. One thing I do know is I have hundreds of them – literally!I’m always torn between using them or keeping them to myself,so by using these beautiful stamps I’ll be able to share my passion of buttons.Or so the theory goes!
I have to admit I wasn’t sure if my card was colourful enough as I’m a bit of a colour coordination freak but I’m pleased how it turned out.
But shock horror NO Promarkers!!
** Here’s my Top Tip : Give shape to hand cut, punched or die cut flowers by placing them face up on a foam mat then emboss the centres using circular motions with a large ball tool(6mm).Then turn over and repeat the embossing on the petals. If neccessary turn over and go over the centres again.I keep a bar of soap (unused!) to hand, rub some on my finger then run my ball tool over it to help it glide across the paper.**
Supplies :
Flowers and sentiment : Buttons Floral stamp plate by Sam Poole from Creative Expressions
Mediums : Memento Dew Drop inks in Lady Bug and Rose Bud
Card & Paper : DP K & Co,coloured card Papermania A4 Capsule Textured Colossal pack
Tools : X-Cut guillotine,Siesta Large Corner Rounder Punch,Martha Stewart Zig Zag Edger Punch,Nellie’s Multi Frame Dies Ovals 2,Big Shot,Decoupage scissors,Large (6mm) Ball Tool,Foam mat,bar of soap (helps the Ball Tool run smoothly over paper/card when hand embossing)
Embellishments : Bag-O-Buttons by Autumn Leaves in Whirligig,Ribbon from a £1 pack from The Works

Rainbow Lady’s Challenge : Edge it
Paper Romance : Some of your favourite things (buttons, stamping, flowers, the Zig Zag punch, ribbon)

I have to say this Snowbaby’s Gift, from Cardmadfairy’s Creations, was an absolute joy to work with. Not only is it adorable beyond words it has lovely open spaces – just perfect to colour with Promarkers. For added texture and sparkle I applied some White Opal Liquid Pearls and sprinkled some Crystal Glamour Dust over the top on the fur trimmed parts of the snowsuit.I added some more Glamour Dust on the spots using a glue pen.I filled the Nestabilities cut shaker frame with some fine Crystal glitter and a few tiny nail gems.

…sitting on the wall.
At Pear Tree Designs this week the lovely Donna has set a fabby sketch to follow :

Our sponsors are One Stop Card Crafts and they are offering one lucky winner a fantastic Goody Bag. Full details on how to enter are posted on the challenge blog , so take a peek! You’ll see the rest of the DT’s wonderful cards too!!
For my card I’ve used a stamp from the C.C. Designs Sugarplums Limited Edition Kit Take A Seat from All That Scraps.I’ve found it’s far more economic to buy these kits from them as even having them shipped really cuts the cost of buying each individually in the U.K.They’re even showing a few left in stock if anyone’s interested.I just love the cuteness of these stamps plus they’re just perfect to colour with Promarkers,as I’ve done here.I stamped the wall she’s sitting on to some card that matches the papers but , I stamped her onto a piece of white card, coloured her and cut her out.Not only does this give dimension it gives the ideal base to colour the skintones.I found this gorgeous pack of A4 Papermania Persimmon papers on offer at Colemans Craft Warehouse for the bargainous £2.99.Also included in the set are two sheets of die cut shapes.I used one to stamp my sentiment onto.If you live close enough it’s well worth a visit!
Supplies :

Medium : Promarkers

…the 5th of November!
At Pear Tree Designs it’s BONFIRE NIGHT.So any card/project related to Bonfire Night/Guy Fawkes/November 5th is what’s required.
We have a fabulous sponsor in the form of The Character Cafe. They are offering one lucky winner a $10 Gift Certificate! Please check the challenge blog for full rules on how to be in for a chance to win.You might also like to gain some inspiration from the rest of the DT’s wonderful creations.
As I didn’t have anything suitable in my stash I suddenly remembered seeing a few craft projects on peoples blogs using images from Elizabeth O. Dulemba,a children’s book author and illustrator.Although they are colouring pages aimed at children the art is so beautifully drawn they lend theirselves to crafty projects too.As with any artist it’s important to respect copyright. Here is a copy of her Angel Policy .
It’s well worth visiting all areas of this site to see all her books and artwork. They are all amazing.
To make it nice and sparkly I printed the image, having flipped it horizontally first, onto inkjet acetate then applied glitter with a dries clear PVA glue.I mounted it over some glitter card attatching it with brads to add even more sparkle.I simply created the background using embossed and die cut pieces of Core’dinations Gemstones card.
Supplies :

It’s time to get spooky with your creations at Pear Tree Designs. This week we’d love to see your HALLOWEEN cards/projects.Please click on the link to see how to play and gain some frighteningly fangtastic inspiration from the DT!
There’s a fabulous prize on offer from our sponsor :

Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps And More are giving the very generous prize of 5 digital stamps or digital paper sets to one lucky winner!!
Here’s another view of the Window Treat Box I made just to give more of an idea of the details on it and how the lid is held on:

When I saw this adorable image of Five Pumpkin Friends from Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps And More I could see straight away how I wanted to use it.I found the instructions on Splitcoast Stampers for this cute Window Treat Box.The instructions are easy to follow and there is a video for support if you’re still not sure. The only difference is I cut my aperture to fit the image using my Fiskars paper trimmer.
I thought I’d go for a rustic feel rather than the traditional Halloween colours as it seemed to suit the pumpkins so well.Although I’ve used the image in a Halloween theme I think you could use them for any Autumnal occaision.I found the sentiment from a selection at Birdscards. There’s a lot more too not just sentiments but images too – and they’re all free!

This week we’re having a ‘FREE FOR ALL’ challenge at Pear Tree Designs. So you can produce any card/project of you choice.Just click on the link for full details on how to join in the fun and check out the fabulous inspiration from the DT!!
Lilac Lemon Designs are sponsoring us too.So there’s a great prize waiting for one lucky winner!
I’ve never made that much Halloween stuff and so many people produce some inspiring treat holder ideas.I thought I’d try making a Mini Pizza Box from a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.
Here’s how it looks open :
I printed the free papers from Activity Village onto both sides of plain white cardstock.I have to admit I was worried about going wrong and wasting so much precious ink.But the intructions were so clear and as there is a video too (they always make things easier!) I found it a doddle to whip it up in no time!
The only difference is I made my band from ribbon rather than card as I had this perfect piece in my stash. The image is Pollycraft’s Friday Freebie Luna Bitterfrost Happy Haunting. The black, green and orange die cut pieces of card are all scraps from my stash. The black brad is from a pack I’ve had aaaaages and never opened. So all in all it didn’t break the bank to make so more pennies for sweeties to fill it with!
*No chocolate Pumpkins or Eyeballs were harmed in the making of this project*
Yep!I was very good and didn’t even snaffle one!
