At Digi Sketch Challenge we have another new challenge and the theme this fortnight is Vintage. We have the super LEJ Designs as our sponsor.
It’s the lovely Nonni’s turn to host and here’s her fabby sketch :
You can follow the sketch, theme or even both.Hope you stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational bunch.
Sadly this is Nonni’s last challenge with us 😦 Going to miss you and your beautiful creations.
For my card I’ve used the beautiful Fair Maiden by LEJ Designs and coloured her with Copic Ciao Markers.I wanted to go for a more sepia type colouring but kept her skin in more pinky tones (I’ve tried before with sepia toned skin and hated it so much it ended up in the bin!).I added some pink to her cheeks, lips and the rose she is holding.I teamed her with some pretty Papermania Vintage Notes papers. All edges have been distressed with both inks and a tool. The lace I picked up in The Works for a very reasonable price and it was nice to see some more crafty bargains making their way back onto their shelves 🙂 I had a play with some Fran-tage Embossing Enamel for the first time.It was fun but sooo messy,or maybe that was just me XD .I made some rolled roses and a bigger one using a flower die which I cut, stuck and layered up.The metal frame, also a new addition in The Works and originally silver, got the Fran-tage treatment too.The sentiment behind it was from a freebie stamp set that came with September’s issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The frame is held in place with a couple of pearl brads.
With regret I have to tell you that this will also be my last challenge for Digi Sketch Challenge 😦
I’ve had a blast meeting some lovely, talented people and watching the challenge grow.May it continue successfully in the future. Thanks Kelly for being such a great leader.
