Who wouldn’t want a Christmas kiss from the lovely Kissing Under The Mistletoe by Crafty Sentiments Designs?She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers and the mistletoe berries given dimension with Liquid Pearls.Unfortunately the camera has failed to pick up on the 3D Crystal Lacquer on her boots – but it is there,honest 🙂 She’s been fussy cut to allow her to be added to the wreath.I made this by die cutting a kraft card ring,then arranging die cut foliage of holly leaves and two types of pine branches,letting the base cardstock to peek through.All topped off with a couple of sprigs of mistletoe – of course!I trimmed one stem to make it a little shorter than the other.That’s the beauty of this die as you can decide how you want to make it up as all the components are cut separately.The ribbon hanging loop has been stapled on for security then covered with the bow for a neater finish.A few recycled pearly buttons have been scattered around for extra decoration 🙂

Darla Dogwood Blooming Beauty by Lacy Sunshine really is one – a beauty I mean!Must admit as I’ve never coloured one of these delightful images before I hope I’ve done her justice?!Whilst I’m sticking my hand up I really had no idea where I was going with this card either…it certainly wasn’t what I had pictured in my mind 😉 Still I got to use the papers I’d chosen along with the kraft card.I even printed Darla onto some and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir Pencils.The whites of her eyes have been highlighted with gel pen.No dies this time,only punches for the shaped border and corners.The flowers were punched out from another piece of paper from the same pad too.Most dogwood blossom seems to pink or white but I did find some pics of yellow ones too.So with a bit of artistic licence thrown in that’s what we have here 🙂

The challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week is Calendars.Drop on by to join in the fun and be in with the chance of winning a super prize.Don’t forget to take a look at some fabulous inspiration by the talented DT while you’re there.

I wanted to make a calendar with a bit more purpose to it for my DD2 as she’s in her final year at Secondary school and in colours to match her recently decorated room.I thought this little beauty,Delightful Flowers  by Crafty Sentiments Designs,was perfect.Not only could I colour that big bloom to coordinate with the décor she’s also a rabbit on the Chinese Zodiac.Apart from dogs she love bunnies too 🙂 I’ve coloured on kraft here with my Polychromos Pencils and painted over the centre of the flower with Iridescent Medium.This card was a real find at my local craft warehouse.It’s double sided!Usually with kraft you get a ‘grey’ side.Not so good for fancy folds and 3D projects.So I bought a whole box of it!!Well…don’t want to run out 😉

My DD2 is struggling with exam nerves so this little gift may cheer her up a bit.This is what you get inside…

A few bits and bobs to help with that all important revision.I might find a little choccy to pop in there too nearer to the time of giving it to her.

Desk Puppy!Although she has a day bed in DD2’s room so she can be close to her she prefers to sit under the desk where she can snuggle up to her legs!Or get in the way…The choice is yours 😀

Sweet Christ-mouse Wishes

Once I spotted the adorable Merry-Christmouse by Deedee’s Digis I just knew I had to make another card for Christmas….2016!He’s been printed onto Neenah Desert Storm card then coloured with Polychromos Pencils and highlighted with a white Soufflé pen.Some Chunky White Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel has been melted around the edges.The same treatment has been given to the sentiment which is one of a few also included in the set.The candy cane embellishment started out as a plain wooden one.I applied a coat of Gesso over it then coloured the red stripes in with a permanent marker.What has managed to elude the camera is the added shine of  a couple of layers of clear embossing powder…never mind,I know it’s there 🙂 To complete the rustic feel given by the kraft and checks I tied a little jute button twine into a bow around it.
