We have a fabby sketch set by Kelly at Willow Sketchie Challenge :

For my card I’ve used the rather sweet I LOVE Chocolate digital image from Willow Designs. This is the pre-coloured version but you also get a black and white image ready for you to colour. How’s that for great value for money?!After die cutting her I inked around the edges.I’ve teamed her with some fantastic free download papers from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The ribbon is a freebie too that came with an order from an online craft store at least a couple of years ago and I’ve only just got round to using it.I decided to turn the image into a tag.The gem under the sentiment started out lilac but I changed it to a deep purple with a ProMarker.

For my card I’ve used a hAnglar & stAnglar stamp from a set I bought aaaages ago on eBay.I can’t believe after hankering after these stamps for so long I’ve only just inked this one for the first time! She’s been coloured with Polychromos Pencils which have been blended out using low odour oils thinners with a paper stump to give a soft look. This was also to make her stand out against the papers.I think if I’d used markers she’d have been lost.I’ve used lots of buttons to finish the card.I’m pleased how pretty this turned out as I always feel this is one thing I struggle with 😀
Happy Boxing Day!Were you on the Nice List?Did you get all you wanted?Hopefully this post has appeared by the magic of scheduling as I’m out for the day at my P-I-Ls (lucky me!Hee hee)

Well,it’s everyone’s favourite challenge at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges!Yep,it’s Anything Goes!.Please take a look at the challenge blog for details on how to play along and be in the chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend at Digi Doodle Shop.Don’t forget to check out the wonderful DT work while you’re there.
I’ve used the rather whimsical Tea Pot Birdie from Digi Doodle Shop.I’ve coloured with Polychromos Pencils.Normally I would just shade a little colour then blend it out with low odour oils thinners and a paper stump but thought I would try something different – well for me anyway!I took a few pencils in different shades of the same colour, laying down colour from dark to light, using the last to blend out. This was definitely a learning curve and I did a few issues with the amount of pressure I put on the pencils but by the end I certainly felt a bit more in control.I did use a dry paper stump to diffuse any hard edges of the grey I shaded the teapot with.Although I feel I could do better next time I am quite pleased at how pretty this card turned out 🙂
As this is the last Digi Doodle Shop Challenge of the year and my final post until after Christmas I’d like to wish my Teamies,Judy our fabulous boss and everyone who stops by my blog a very Merry one!

For my card I’ve used the elegant 1930’s Fashion image from Digi Doodle Shop.Yeah I know the title of my post refers to the age rather than the era but when your eyelids are droopin’ and your head’s crashing onto the keyboard and it’s the only thing you can think of you kinda have to go with it!!Anyway,I’ve coloured her with ProMarkers and emulated the style of the fashion posters of that time ( or as close as I can get it!).I found it a challenge to let the shading be liney- is that a word?My style is usually a lot more scribbly and any harsh lines are blended out.I used a Marianne Design Twirly Stencil 2 that I bought back in the Summer ,along with a lovely pricking tool, and never got round to using. The cream piece of card behind her was already debossed with the pattern so I just pierced it.I just had to add a big bow with this gorgeous organza ribbon to complete the look.
Supplies :
Image : 1930’s Fashion from Digi Doodle Shop
Colouring mediums : ProMarkers, Desert Sand Memento Dew Drop Ink Pad,Antique Linen Distress Ink
Paper & Card : DP K & Co,Kars Christmas Collection Card (yes,that’s right!)

Tag You’re It! is the challenge over at Craft Your Passion this week.We have the fabulous Stretch n’ Bubbles as our sponsor too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!
For my card I’ve used the delightful Saraphena from Stretch n’ Bubbles and coloured her with FlexMarkers,of course being a fairy I had to add some crystal to her wings. This card is actually quite diddy in size – just 4 1/4″ x 2 1/4″.I had the idea of making a tag shaped easel card but didn’t have the right die to cut one.I raked out a Wendy Stenton Designs Tag Sheet Template I bought way back when I couldn’t afford a die cutting machine.I used the largest one on the sheet for the base and the smaller one for the fairy allowing parts of her to come over the edges. I also made the fancy shaped tag from the smallest sized one.The word is handwritten because none of my stamps looked right. I attached a flower eyelet and tied on some ribbon and paper thread, which was added to the small tag too.I also placed some raffia ribbon on the base.
Supplies :
Image : Saraphena from Strecth n’ Bubbles
Setiment : Handwritten
Colouring Mediums : FlexMarkers,Grape Jelly Memento Dew Drop Ink Pad (round all edges)
Paper & Card : Base cut from a 5″ x 5″ pearlescent card (leftovers used for matting),DP DCWV The Mini Stack 3

Nature is the theme this week at Digi Doodle Shop Challenges. Please take a look at the challenge blog for details on how to play along and be in the chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend at Digi Doodle Shop.Don’t forget to check out the beautiful DT work while you’re there.

We’ll have our first draw upon reaching 600.At this moment in time we’re up to 541.So why not pop over to Digi Doodle Shop Challenges and become a follower!
For my card I’ve used Hummingbird from Digi Doodle Shop.I wanted to give the bird some real life iridescence. So I dug out my Twinkling H2o’s from the depth of my crafty stash and dusted them down.I think I’m a little out of practice tho’.I prefer my colouring using AquaMarkers on the flowers, beak and illusion of sky in the background. I stamped the greeting underneath the image and cut out using Nesties.I chose the words because as far as I can remember I’ve always been in awe of these beautiful creatures and love to see one in it’s own natural habitat.I’d already decided to team this paper with the image from the start but the whole card ended up a lot more ‘blingier’ than I’d planned. But I think it suits the shininess of the bird.
Supplies :
Image : Hummingbird by Digi Doodle Shop
Sentiment : Hero Arts Clear Design Anytime Messages

We have another fabby sketch for you at Willow Sketchie Challenge brought to you this week by Anne-Marie :

Feel free to place a sentiment wherever you choose.
I’ve used the adorable Under the Tree image from the Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD-rom from Willow Designs and water coloured with AquaMarkers onto smooth white card.I love the effect it gives,a little different to water colour card.I applied Glossy Accents to the baubles and string of lights on the tree. The papers are from the CD-rom as well. Some scraps from a few other cards I made ( the samples for the Create and Craft show).I toned down the red card with the same AquaMarker I used on the baubles and their party hats.Finished with some gems and a matching greeting.
