Another win!

Can’t believe I won the Willow Sketchie Challenge again on the Let’s Get Stamping group at Craftbubble with my Anniversary card.Anyway here’s a card for this week’s sketchie using my prize of a free download:

I’m still suffering the effects of this Swine ‘Flu so I kept it simple. The image has been coloured with Promarkers. The stamped sentiment is from Cute Characters set 1.Papers are part of the download. In the original sketch there were three flowers where I have placed the bow.By the time I had got to that stage I’d run out of ideas/steam.Don’t know if I’ve really done the image the justice it deserves?

Sharon Armstrong who runs the group also has an online shop here. There are lots of  lovely stamps and downloads designed by the talented lady herself.

Birthday Wishes

Another Passion for ProMarkers Challenge card. The challenge this week was to use Pastel Pink and Cool Aqua along with this sketch:

For my card I turned the sketch on it’s head because I prefered the sentiment at the top.Another Cute Characters stamp has been used, this time from set 1.This is the selection of pens used:

cool aqua and pastel pink 001

Papers are Making Memories. The pink panel is actually two pieces of card joined together. The scalloped heart is cut from a Sizzix Lace Edging Decorative Strip, the circles and ovals are Nestabilities, felt flowers are  the smallest part of a Sizzix Flower,Beauty Bloom die.The buttons, from an old night dress before it was recycled, are sewn on with pink thread.Corners have been shaped with Siesta Lip Pattern Corner Punch.

I’ve never considered myself too great at making ‘girly’ cards but I don’t think this is too bad an effort taking into account I’ve just come down with Swine ‘Flu!

Pretty in Punk

This week’s Passion for ProMarkers challenge is Rose Pink and Lime.

I used a stamp from Cute Characters set 3 by Personal Impressions coloured with these pens:

rose pink and lime 001

The flower is one from a white Gerbera I bought in Poundland and picked the layers apart.I cut it in half and coloured it with Black Promarker. The papers are from Making Memories and have been distressed around the edges as has the black card they’re matted onto.White gel pen has been used for highlights,to fill in the skull and crossbones and for faux stitching.Lime green and black ribbons with charm attached from my stash.

Tea Time

I made a second card for the Willow Sketchie Challenge at Craftbubble.Backing vellum printed from the Fantasy Floral CD-Rom by Artylicious. Layered onto that a photo I took of some tea bags edged with Tea Dye Distress Ink.The teapot and cup stamped in Stazon and the computer generated words, also edged with the ink, are coated in clear embossing powder then I bent the card to crack it.Next I rubbed some more ink over the top to create an old china effect.I attached them to the bottom strip of card with craft wire.I made a holder thingy for the tea bag out of a clear divider from an expansion file which I split by cramming too many cardmaking papers in.The message is stamped in Stazon too.

Anniversary Tea

This weeks Willow Sketchie Challenge set by DT member Katie on Let’s Get Stamping Group at Craftbubble had the added twist “Think Tea Bag” – soaking paper in tea,tea bag folding or even including a sachet of tea.

The birds are stamped on watercolour paper and shaded with varying strengths of tea with Ruby Promarker applied with Blender pen.The hearts are stamped on the same paper washed and splattered with tea.The spotty paper had a pale cream background which looked a little too white against the topper so it got the tea treatment too.Next I punched out circles to create my own tea bag papers and placed a button in the center of each.I wasn’t sure if they would work as I’ve made oval ones before but I just used the same principle and  was pleased how they turned out.The fibre across the bottom also had a tea bath. Finally I stamped some swirly stems then heat embossed the sentiment across the bottom.

The birds and hearts are a free set that came with Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The sentiment from a set of foam backed greetings by Anita’s.

The card was for my Husband as it was our 19th Wedding Anniversary yesterday. We went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince followed by a meal at a nearby restaurant. He also decided to take kids out to celebrate with us at a local child friendly place last night. At this rate I’ll be putting back on all the weight I’ve recently lost thanks to my Special K and salad diet!!

99 Red Balloons

Well… OK he’s only got the one but that’s what kept going through my mind whilst working with this image.

This is my entry for Passion fo ProMarkers Ruby & Gold challenge. The twist was to use gems or jewels. It’s another cute Smookie stamp by Kars. Here are the pens I used:

I placed the ink onto an acrylic block and applied it with the Blender pen, building up the depth of shading until I was happy there was enough colour.Highlights have been added using Inssentials white gel pen.Backing papers are Basic Grey Cupcake, shapes cut from Labels 4 Nestabilities.Papermania gems and Anita’s Sticky Ribbon to embellish.

Confession time – I nearly used brads in the centers but remembered the twist at the last moment!

Getting there – eventually

foxy001 (Small)

This was last weeks entry for the Willow Sketchie Challenge at the Let’s get Stamping group at Craftbubble. The original sketch had scallops but I decided to go for inverted ones instead!

I love this little fella. He’s just soooooo cute!!He’s called Foxy by Imaginisce and cost me all of 99p!I love a crafty bargain me.I’ve used him once before to create this:

This time I thought I’d give him rosy cheeks. It’s not clear from the photo but I used white gel pen highlights and Glossy Accents on his nose and eyes. The image has been stamped in Rich Cocoa rather than Tuxedo Black and coloured with what else but Promarkers. The greeting is from a See D’s set.More papers from Making Memories as are the brads.Standard and Inverted Scallop Circles by Nestabilities and embellished with a selection of Bag-O-Buttons by Autumn Leaves.

redwhiteandblue002 (Small)

I really should’ve posted this card before the last but I needed to enter that one into the challenge.

This card was for the Willow Sketchie Challenge set on July 4th at Craftbubble. The twist was to use red, white and blue.Don’t seem to have any papers with just those colours so had to improvise a little.

Kiki Kitty stamps by Pink Cat Studio coloured with Promarkers, layered onto red and blue card, mounted on Cupcake paper by Basic Grey.Grosgrain ribbon, buttons, brads and punched flowers added.
