The challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week is Bingo.Drop on by to join in the fun and be in with the chance of winning a super prize.Don’t forget to take a look at some fabulous inspiration by the talented DT while you’re there.

Here’s peek at¬†the Bingo board :

This is the¬†dreamy¬†Rose Fairy¬†¬†by Crafty Sentiments Designs. What a beauty ūüôā She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers.I’ve followed the left hand vertical column (Stitching,Embossing,Buttons). The background squares and the ovals, with the stitching detail, have been cut with my new Crealies dies.

After looking at many (far too many) of this style of die I decided on these. They seemed very good value and doubts about things being too good to be true started creeping into my head.Oh my gosh!I’m impressed! On the first pass to cut them on my Big Shot the stitched detail showed straight away.I then went on to emboss them and got the beautiful raised part like you do with other dies with embossing capabilities.Altho’ I could have used them by just cutting them I liked the added dimension ūüôā They are quite sizeable too.I’ve never bought this brand before and I’m so happy with them ūüėÄ Only thing I wasn’t sure about was the ovals being longer and skinnier than my Nestie sets but as you can see this pretty gal fits in nicely.I’ve also made a – dare I say it…yeah I’m gonna¬†–¬†Christmas card with them and the image fitted fine in there too.

Anyways…back to this card… For the embossing I chose a rose¬†folder to go with my fairy friend. And the buttons are added to the flower centres.Finished with a freebie stamp ūüôā

Here’s the adorable Emo Basket by Just Some Lines who just also happens to be this month’s freebie. You can find her here. She’s been coloured up with Graph’It Markers in warm, sunny hues.Looking at the weather we’ve had this week that was just wishful thinking!!The papers are some I’ve had for longer than I care to remember and I’m totally on a mission to use my vast stacks of paper up – even tho’ there is great temptation out there and I’m finding it difficult to resist ūüėČ The only piece of yellow ribbon (not a colour I use very often) in my stash was too acid a shade. So I changed the cream one I found by first going over in Lemon 1130 then Cream 1210 to tone it down.A pretty good match for the cardstock don’tcha think?I punched out some flowers and gave them blingy centres ūüôā The sentiment is a freebie stamp and I just love this font ūüėÄ Let’s hope this brings on the sunshine!!

Pot of Gold!

The  St.Patrick’s Day/Good Luck challenge at  Just Some Lines is still ongoing. To play along you need to use a Just Some Lines image to enter and you could win a digi if you’re picked as part of the Top 3.As usual there is a freebie on the challenge site if you wish to use it :)

I’ve coloured up Pat – the dog¬†by¬†Just Some Lines¬†with Copic Ciao Markers and added touches of¬†Gold Graph‚ÄôIt¬†Glitter¬†Shake Pen.I found this neat tutorial here¬†to make this box. This was so simple…but oh boy!I’ve had a stinking cold all week and could I get my head around this – oh,no ūüė¶ It really isn’t that difficult…that’s just me!I added a ‘shamrock’ I made using a heart shaped punch and a brad added to the centre then attached¬†it¬†to the handle¬†for decoration. And having as muzzy head I clean forgot to pick up some choccy gold coins I spotted in a local discount shop that I thought would be perfect for this project…Yep they were from Christmas…BUT chocolate does have long shelf life…well, until it passes through my door …lol ūüėõ Rather conveniently we happened to have these aptly named biscuit bars knocking around in the cupboard.Mostly because nobody had discovered them!¬†

Here’s a closer view of Pat :

Falling for Autumn

cypdt16thseptBarry16thsept 001

At Craft Your Passion this week the challenge is Autumn/Fall Colours. We have the fabulous Stamp Fairy as our sponsors too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job.

I couldn’t resist making 2 cards with the adorable ¬†Molly Throughout the Year September and Barry Throughout the Year 9¬†by Stamp Fairy¬†.They’ve both been coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers. The papers on the Molly one are actually supposed to be Summer ones but they say Autumn more to me – especially when teamed with the orange and brown card stock ūüėČ The embellishment is made up of a wooden flower coloured with Copics,a gem added to the centre, then a few of the leftovers from the border die tucked under the edges. So on to Barry ūüôā I coloured him in a dotty fashion to create a little fuzziness and decided to display him on a shaped easel card (not made one in a while).I’ve inked around the edges to give more depth to the whole card. Some texture has been added with some paper raffia and die cut cork leaves.I’m always on the lookout for interesting stuff to bring dimension to my cards – and then never use it!!So I took the opportunity this time.I’ve used a button as the stopper and the sentiment is a freebie from Netty’s Cards.I love making cards in Autumn colours and luckily I get the chance as 3 of my 4 children have Autumn Birthdays! The top card is for my DD2 and the bottom one is for my DS2 ūüôā
