I’ve used Heart Felt Roses from Digi Doodle Shop for my card.I’ve coloured it with ProMarkers.I was very brave and cut out the middle using a craft knife and some of the small flowers have been cut out and layered with Glue Gel.I printed the sentiment onto vellum and quickly heat embossed it before the ink dried then hand cut it into a banner.I gave a lacy feel to the papers with a punch before adding some real lace and a flower/rossette with a heart shaped brad in the centre.
This is for my son’s teacher who’s getting married this half term.

I chose to work with the super adorable Louis & Clarie from Digi Doodle Shop. They’ve been coloured with ProMarkers and Frosted Lace Stickles has been added to Clarie’s wings.I’ve kept the card to a minimum taking the colours from the paper to use in the image.I wanted to let the image really take over the card to show how gorgeous it is.The flower, which has Frosted Lace Stickles in the centre, and border on the right are die cuts from the paper pack. The ribbon is actually a Christmas one but I loved so much and thought it toned in well with the colours on the card.
I’m going to save this for my DD2’s birthday later this year.

I’ve used the pretty Hydrangea image from Digi Doodle Shop for my card. Printed onto water colour paper and coloured using Distress Inks.I’ve also used a little Distress Ink applied with Cut ‘n’ Dry Foam on the edges of the image and card base. The Prima Hydrangeas were white but they’ve been dyed with Distress Inks to match.Rather than a brad or gem I decided to use a recent purchase of stamens to fill the middles.Once the wires were trimmed at the back I applied some Pinflair Glue Gel to keep them in place. This also adhered them to the card.
Supplies :

For my card I’ve used the totally adorable Mouse In Tea Cup (Cecil) and coloured him with ProMarkers with added white gel pen highlights. To add a little shading under and on the cup I used the Tea Green ProMarker and Blender.I find this gives a softer more subtle colour than using a grey. For a little extra shine I went over the tea cup with a glaze pen. Here’s a close up to show the detail :

I actually tuned the sketch on it’s side so I could incorperate the eyelets onto the edge of the image piece.I chose a gingham background and lacy edged dies to got with the country feel of the image.

Why not take advantage of the last few days of this months offers. There are lots of beautiful digi stamps to choose from.
I’ve used The End from Digi Doodle Shop for my card. There are so many uses for this but thought it would make a great leaving card.I’ve printed the image directly onto a kraft card base. The sentiment is one I computer generated and I made the template for this on MyVerse Editor Plus so I could print it all in one. This is something I’m exploring more and really getting into.I’ve coloured with Gioconda Soft Pastel Pencils,my new favourite toys. This is what I had in mind when I bought these but this is the first time I used them like this. After blending a little of the colour over the grass and bunny I went back and used them to create more texture. While I was waiting for the fixative to dry I punched out a border and added some natural raffia, for a rustic feel, and topped this with a Prima flower with a button centre.I tied a very fine piece of raffia, which I managed to peel away, through this.
Supplies :
Image : The End from Digi Doodle Shop
Sentiment : Created by me!

It’s all about Glitter and Glitz at Digi Doodle Shop’s Best this week.Check out the challenge blog for full details on how to play and be in for the chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate for Digi Doodle Shop.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT’s fabulous creations. With the special offers this month in store now would be a great time to stock up on some beautiful images. There are quite a few new releases too.
I’ve used the gorgeous Fairy & Daisy from Digi Doodle Shop. She’s been coloured with Gioconda Soft Pastel Pencils blended using cotton buds for a softer finish.I only applied colour to the inner parts of her wings before blending out to give a more delicate feel to them. After allowing the fixative to dry I sprinkled Crystal Glamour Dust over her wings, the edges of the flower and underside of the leaves.I cut her out using decoupage scissors, curled the edges slightly to give dimension, then popped her on using Pinflair Glue Gel.I wanted it to look as if the daisy had sprouted there as part of the paper. The paper and chipboard piece are from this months Cardmaking and Papercraft Country Diary freebie. They both had a good coating of Crafter’s Companion Gold Spray and Sparkle as have the red brads.I think I went a little OTT with it but if you can’t go mad with the glitter on a fairy card when can you?!!I finshed with some gorgeous, shimmery organza ribbon and some sparkly gems.

We’d like to see your projects with Stripes this week at Digi Doodle Shop’s Best. It’s also a special week as our new DT members will be sharing their fabulous first creations too.Pop along to the challenge blog for all the info on how to play along and be in for the chance of winning a $10 Gift Certificate to spend at Digi Doodle Shop. With the specials going on this month now would be a great time to stock up on some beautiful images.
For my card I’ve used T Bird.A great image for those difficult men(young and old) in our lives! Now,I was originally going to colour this with ProMarkers so had printed it onto smooth white card. Then just like that I changed my mind and used Distress Inks.Normally I would print on watercolour paper for this technique but I thought I’d give it a go anyway.Well I was lucky ‘cos they worked like a dream and there wasn’t any pilling like you sometimes get when you add water into the equation.Phew!I got away with it!I wouldn’t recommend it though as cardstock can be so unpredictable.I added dimension and shine with some Glossy Accents on the windscreen and headlights. Here’s a closer view :

The background paper is so fitting as it has a map printed onto it.As well as my patterned paper stripes I added a panel with some embossed ones too.I cut the car out the front to give the appearance of it zooming out of the piece of card.
This card is for my Nephew who has been very poorly lately. He was admitted to hospital after collapsing at home a few weeks ago. They decided he had internal bleeding but didn’t have the right equipment to find where it was and the staff had to admit they’d never had to scan someone so young. So after a week of being pumped full of blood and made very comfortable they managed to move him to the John Radcliffe Hospital. He had to be admitted to the ward and was booked in to have a camera take a look.He had to wait 3 days to have this done.If he had been an Out Patient he would’ve had to wait 2-3 weeks!!And they want to make more cuts to the NHS?!!Anyway they found an ulcer was the cause of all the problems.Still he is now on medication and is on the road to recovery.Thankfully.
Supplies :
