OVER THE TOP BLING BLING is what we want to see at Cowgirl’s Sunday Stamp’en Challenge. The more sparkle and glitz the better.Who doesn’t deserve a bit of glamour in their lives. So pull out all things glittery, shimmery and bejewelled and get busy!!
We also have Delicious Doodles sponsoring us this week.

So there are lots of prizes up for grabs. The winner will receive 3 images of their choice from Delicious Doodles plus a winner’s badge. The top 3 will each receive 1 image of their choice from Cowgirl-Up Digital Stamp’en Ranch. No excuse not to pop along and play! You will also get the chance to see the beautiful creations by the DT.
For my card I’ve used the adorable Fall image from Cowgirl-Up Digital Stamp’en Ranch. It even has 15% discount. There are many other images included in this offer too – so what you waiting for go grab yourself a bargain or few!!This is a fantastic image if you love colouring as much as me – there are so many fabulous details.
I created the pumpkin embellishment from Core’dinations Gemstones card using a Nestablities Classic Scallop Oval die and Sizzix Sizzlits Elegance Decorative Strip, trimming off the parts that weren’t needed.
As per usual I don’t seem to have captured the full sparkle on this.Apart from adding a generous amount of Stickles I’ve also sprayed the patterned paper and raffia lace ribbon with Crafter’s Companion Spray & Sparkle Gold Glitter Varnish – it really glitters IRL.I’ve also used Core’dinations Gemstones card which has a lovely pearlescent sheen and I think you can just make out the tiny gems twinkling away.I had a brainwave of using this Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set so that I could set them around the edge.Boy were they fiddly to handle, even tweezers were useless. Why,oh why do I set myself up for these things?!Still I got there in the end!!

It’s an ANYTHING GOES challenge this week at Digi Doodle Shop’s Best.So grab the chance to get creative!!There’s also the chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the store. So click on the link to see the full details on how to play along.Stop and take a look at the DT’s amazing work whilst you’re there too.
I chose this stunningly beautiful Mermaid.I just love the way her hair tumbles down to cover her modesty. She looks pretty deep in thought too.Hmmmm I remember having a waist like this once ……. but that was before I had 4 children.Well that’s my excuse and I’m sure my passion for chocolate has absolutely nothing to do with it!!
I had this piece of paper in mind as the perfect background for her.As it’s quite a busy piece I wanted to keep the rest a little more simple. So I created an aperture and added a piece of paper from the same collection inside the card. It’s difficult to tell but I did mount some acetate behind the aperture. To finish the card I just added the lace,die-cut flowers and pearls.Because it took such little time to create the layout it meant I could concentrate on my favourite part – the colouring!I mounted her using silicone glue to give dimension. In fact the longest part was waiting for the glue to dry!
She does have Glossy Accents on her tail but the camera hasn’t picked it up 😦
Supplies :

We want to see you get busy with the bling, sparkles or glitter this week at Craft Your Passion for our ADD GLITTER/SPARKLES challenge.Who doesn’t like a bit of glitz in their life?So head on over and join in the fun. There are some digi stamps to be won and why not grab some inspiration from the fabulous DT creations while you’re there?!
For my card I chose to work with Cool Girl from Lauretta’s Digital Stamps.I couldn’t think of a more perfect, girly image to give a shimmering make-over.

Here’s a closer view.I really struggled to capture the glitter on camera.Sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn’t 😦
It’s showing up better on the image but the floral patterened paper and the flowers are glittered quite a lot too.I wonder if the camera’s homing in on the image and that’s why it’s not showing? If anyone has any tips/ideas on how to improve the results please could they share their secret with me?

It’s time to get spooky with your creations at Pear Tree Designs. This week we’d love to see your HALLOWEEN cards/projects.Please click on the link to see how to play and gain some frighteningly fangtastic inspiration from the DT!
There’s a fabulous prize on offer from our sponsor :

Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps And More are giving the very generous prize of 5 digital stamps or digital paper sets to one lucky winner!!
Here’s another view of the Window Treat Box I made just to give more of an idea of the details on it and how the lid is held on:

When I saw this adorable image of Five Pumpkin Friends from Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps And More I could see straight away how I wanted to use it.I found the instructions on Splitcoast Stampers for this cute Window Treat Box.The instructions are easy to follow and there is a video for support if you’re still not sure. The only difference is I cut my aperture to fit the image using my Fiskars paper trimmer.
I thought I’d go for a rustic feel rather than the traditional Halloween colours as it seemed to suit the pumpkins so well.Although I’ve used the image in a Halloween theme I think you could use them for any Autumnal occaision.I found the sentiment from a selection at Birdscards. There’s a lot more too not just sentiments but images too – and they’re all free!

Some more pics of my project :

I made some cute lolly covers by simply folding a square of card in half and cutting just in from the crease line.I then punched a hole halfway in the middle of the bottom. To hold them in place, once slipped over the lolly,I punched a hole and added an eyelet to the front hole and secured it with a length of waxed twine.I printed the images quite small and coloured them with Promarkers and highlighted areas witha white gel pen.

After working with the image on such a small scale I decided to make a kind of easelcard/sign to put in my window to show that we are taking part in Trick or Treat.I had a lot of fun colouring at this size (150%).I used a Circle X-Cut Shape Cutter Template to create the base .I got the idea for the floating greeting from an article by Paula Pascual in issue 82 of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.

The challenge this week at Digi Doodle Shop’s Best is to KEEP IT SIMPLE … NO DP ALLOWED,1 EMBELLISHMENT ONLY!For full details on how to play along and be in for the chance to win please click on the link. While you’re there take a look at the DT’s and GD’s fabulous creations for some inspiration.
This challenge really gives you something to think about. It’s so easy just to grab something from your favourite paper pack and raid your embellie stash. And if your anything like me you’ve probably got a lorry load of ’em too.I found the most difficult part just using one embellishment.
White-on-white cards seem to be on trend ATM so I thought I’d try my hand at one. Here I’ve used the adorable Hanging On from Digi Doodle Shop and used Promarkers to colour with a touch of Glossy Accents on the eyes and nose.To create more interest I embossed the base card too.Because the folder was narrower than the card I turned it over and scored the edges for a neater finish.I had a tough decision over choosing my one embellishment tho’!!I originally embossed another piece of white card and attached a cute jingly bell but didn’t think it looked quite right so swapped for a piece of an old belt, with some holes punched,to represent a cat’s collar.I would’ve loved to add the bell to this but it wouldn’t be setting a good example for everyone else would it?!!
Supplies :
Image : Hanging On from Digi Doodle Shop’s Best
Mediums : Promarkers,Glossy Accents
Card : Base and layers of white from my stash
Tools : X-Cut guillotine,Tim Holtz Paper Distresser, Cuttlebug 5 x 7 Kassie’s Brocade,Distress Stripe
Embellishment : Recycled belt

At Craft Your Passion there’s a colour challenge going on.We’d love to see your ORANGE PURPLE BLACK creations – it doesn’t even have to be Halloween either! So click on the link to play along, find more details and take a look at the DT’s beautiful work! And don’t forget there’s a prize for one lucky person!
I decided to make a non-Halloween card using the colours. This Hat Dots image from CoCo Dingo Didgital Stamps just seemed ideal for this.I used Promarkers to add shading and depth and decoupaged just the bow for more dimension.I did use an Orange Atyou Spica Copic on the bow and dots but it doesn’t show up in the pic.The gems were originally lilac and were too pale so I coloured them with Plum Promarker.I also thought the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder would be pretty appropriate too.
Supplies :
Image : Hat Dots from CoCo Dingo Digital Stamps
Sentiment:Personal Impressions Cute Character Set 2
Mediums :Promarkers,Atyou Spica Copic,Dusty Concord Distress Ink
Card & Paper : K & Co DP,Dovecraft Designer Paper Pack,Black card from stash

This week we’re having a ‘FREE FOR ALL’ challenge at Pear Tree Designs. So you can produce any card/project of you choice.Just click on the link for full details on how to join in the fun and check out the fabulous inspiration from the DT!!
Lilac Lemon Designs are sponsoring us too.So there’s a great prize waiting for one lucky winner!
I’ve never made that much Halloween stuff and so many people produce some inspiring treat holder ideas.I thought I’d try making a Mini Pizza Box from a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.
Here’s how it looks open :
I printed the free papers from Activity Village onto both sides of plain white cardstock.I have to admit I was worried about going wrong and wasting so much precious ink.But the intructions were so clear and as there is a video too (they always make things easier!) I found it a doddle to whip it up in no time!
The only difference is I made my band from ribbon rather than card as I had this perfect piece in my stash. The image is Pollycraft’s Friday Freebie Luna Bitterfrost Happy Haunting. The black, green and orange die cut pieces of card are all scraps from my stash. The black brad is from a pack I’ve had aaaaages and never opened. So all in all it didn’t break the bank to make so more pennies for sweeties to fill it with!
*No chocolate Pumpkins or Eyeballs were harmed in the making of this project*
Yep!I was very good and didn’t even snaffle one!
Supplies :

At Cowgirl’s Sunday Stamp’en Challenge you need to make your own DP backgound! That’s right no reaching for your favourite pack. It’s time to get creative! Please click on the link to findout the full details and while you’re there take a look at the DT’s fantastic work!
We have the fabulous Michelle Perkett as a sponsor too!So here I’ve used her gorgeous Soulmates image. As the image has a nice layout I didn’t want to interfere with it too much and tried a technique that I’d not done before. After colouring the image I gently dabbed a Versamark pen (being water based the ink will smudge if rub with the nib) over the whole of it and the sentiment then clear embossed it.The bubbles are actually covered with Glossy Accents to give more dimension.Once it had cooled I used Distress Inks over the entire sheet.I then stamped over it with a crackle backgrounder.I gently buffed the ink off the shiny parts with a soft tissue.I was having a problem with inkjet ink smudging before with Distress Ink and I didn’t want to spoil the beauty of the image.Apart from that it’s intensified the colours so beautifully.I stamped some scrolls in green to make it look like seaweed and added some acrylic dewdrops. To make them more sparkly I applied some stickles to the back but they still have to be adhered with Glossy Accents. It’s a shame I didn’t really capture just how glittery this is IRL.

*This post has been edited to show a close up of the sparkle*
I’m going to hide this card ’til next Summer to give to my DH for our Anniversary!!
