I made this card for my DD2’s teacher as it’s her last day at school before she takes Maternity Leave whilst waiting for the arrival of her second child. My little girl is very sad to lose such a lovely teacher but is excitedly looking forward to the day when she comes into school to show off the new baby. She had the same teacher 2 years ago and exactly the same thing happened then!!
I used the sketch from I Love Promarkers where there was also an added theme of ‘stitching’.Cute Card Thursday‘s challenge this week is ‘Ribbon-Tastic’ and over at C.R.A.F.T. their recipe is ‘Ribbon and Sparkle’ so this is an entry for those too.
This is the sketch:

As the sketch required two images I knew which set I was going to reach for.Like so many of my stamps they are ‘gotta haves’ only for me to use them once and never let them see the coating of ink again.Colouring has been done with Promarkers with white gel pen for the fluffy tail and Diamond Stickles have been added to her wings and the spots on her toadstool home. The windows have been glazed with Glossy Accents but it hasn’t picked it up on the photo.I’ve drawn faux stiching around the edges of both images and the sentiment, from the same set.I was lucky that my new Marianne Design Creatables Ribbon Flower Dies plopped onto my doormat to create the flowers. The grosgrain is perhaps a little too thick but I found I hadn’t got enough of the organza I intended to use : ( .The backing paper is K & Co and I’ve used some Raffia lace so as not to obscure it too much. All the coloured card is gorgeous Core’dinations Gemstones for more sparkle.

…or three!
This card is made using the ‘Easter’ theme at Die Cut Dreams,Passion for ProMarkers Tulip Yellow and Baby Pink colour combo including the stitching theme along with the layout from the Willow Sketchie Challenge.
Here’s the sketch:

I rotated it to suit the image.Apart from the challenge colours I used a little Leaf Green and Duck Egg (what else!) with Blender to create a sky.All papers are Making Memories and have had the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser treatment on the edges.I used a combination of an EK Success Lines and Dots edge punch and a Cutter Bee Zig-Zag Piercing Bug and added faux stitching with white gel pen.The sentiment came with the ducks as a set that was a past Friday Freebie at Polly Craft. The stamped flower is from the Button Collection available at Willow Designs and has the added bonus of being on sale.I coloured it using the challenge pens and added real stitching to the centre. That’s as about as good as it gets with my needlework skills!!The details on the sketch have been completed with three green pearls.

This weeks Sketchie Challenge for the Let’s Get Stamping group at Craftbubble was set by GDT Hannah with the theme of ‘Animals’.
Here is the sketch:

I just had to use this adorable kitty.Almost unbelievably I managed to pick him up for free!!Coloured with Promarkers onto Hessian Textured card. And here’s a closer view:

He’s been cut out using a Nestabilities Labels 1 die and the edges have been inked with Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint Distress inks. The papers are K & Co and the card is Papermania Textured.I’ve used a Martha Stewart Zig Zag Edger punch and a Lip Pattern corner punch. To embellish the card I’ve used some gorgeous raffia lace, grosgrain ribbon,a button and thread. The sentiment, from Hero Arts Anytime Messages set,was chosen because I couldn’t see how anyone could fail to do one of these if not all three at the sight of this little chap.
I’m also going to enter this as a second card for Passion for ProMarkers ‘Buttons and Bows’ challenge.(Well OK I know there’s only one of each!)

This week at Passion for ProMarkers you were free to use colours of your own choice to the theme of Buttons and Bows.I thought this sketch set at C.R.A.F.T. would be ideal:

I chose Promarkers to reflect the colours in these Making Memories papers. All edges have been distressed with the Tim Holtz tool.I’ve been ultra generous with the Papermania buttons on this one.I’ve got a fellow Craftbubbler with a birthday coming up soon and I’m sure she’ll appreciate them! I’ve adhered a length of ribbon across the bottom and added some bows to the ends. The ribbon came from a lovely pack I picked up at the Early Learning Centre for £1.The Manga Girl also has a bow in her hair as well buttons on her dress.I have to admit I found the prospect of putting this layout together a bit scary but once I laid it all down I was really pleased with how it looked.
I’m also still reeling in shock after discovering this card had been chosen as last weeks winner. The giddy heights of fame eh?

Originally this card was going to be just an entry for I Love Promarkers where there was this sketch to follow:

But there were several other challenges I wanted to try my hand at too.So I combined a few.
Die Cut Dreams: a Recipe of 3 x different papers,2 x different ribbons,2 x flowers and added extra of using gems.
Cute Card Thursday: Metal Mania
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge: Multifold
The Mabel Lucie Attwell image has been coloured with Promarkers.I used one piece of K & Co paper as the background and adhered two strips together to make the concertina folded flower.I hung a charm from a brad using some home made jump rings. It is secured in place using Glossy Accents.I laid two different shades of pink ribbon onto the paper and added gems.I thought I would carry on the floral theme with this sentiment from the Hero Arts Anytime Messages set.Everything has been mounted onto Papermania Textured card.

Here’s my entry for this weeks Willow Sketchie Challenge.
This is the sketch:

I hope I haven’t taken too much of a liberty by turning it into an easel card. The top part counts I’m sure…
Originally I was going to make a circular card but then I thought I’d revive a recent trend – with a little difference.I cut a Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circle from Papermania Textured card and adhered it to the base I’d already cut to size and scored.I then cut around the edge of the scallop to remove the white card.I then layered a paler shade of card cut with a Nellie Snellen Frame die with some K & Co papers and then added it onto the large scallop.I stamped sweet ‘Willow with Flower’ and coloured her with Promarkers.I also stamped the top part of an Anytime Messages Hero Arts sentiment along the bottom.I then stamped two flowers from the Button Collection and shaded them with Promakers, pierced through the holes and stitched some thread from my stash through. The bottom part has been decorated to compliment the design.

This card was sent to a very brave lady who’s been having a really bad time lately.I hope it goes a little way to help brighten her day.
I coloured the Mabel Lucie Attwell Hugs to Share with Promarkers. The card used is Papermania Textured and the backing papers are K & Co.The tag shape is cut from a Sizzix die and the embossed strip is cut and embossed with a Marianne Design Creatable Ribbon Border Die.The corners have had either a Large Rounder or Lip Pattern punch used on them. The flowers are some I bought and pulled apart from Poundland and dyed to match using Promarkers. The ribbon, originally cream, has also been coloured with Promarkers. The button and thread are from my stash. The greeting is computer generated.
This is also a challenge card for Crafty Calendar Challenge where the theme is ‘Love & Friendship’ and Cute Card Thursday who have a ‘In the Name of Love’ challenge this week.

Mind you Anya looks pretty happy here. And who could blame her!
This week on Passion for ProMarkers there’s a colour challenge to use Agean,Sky Blue and Cool Aqua.I don’t know the title of this stamp as I acquired it in a swap.I decided to make her a redhead as I usually do blonde, brunette and black haired folk.I used Saffron,Spice and a touch of Terracotta. Her skin has been coloured with Ivory and Dusky Pink. The bubbles and shadowing under the bath are created with Cool Aqua and the Blender.Highlights have been added to her hair, the bubbles and the bath using a white gel pen.The papers are K & Co,the green card is Papermania Textured.I created the pelmet with some co-ordinating paper, pink Core’dinations from the So Mod collection and a Fiskars Scallop Sentiment punch to give a bathroom blind effect. The image has been mounted onto a Nellie Snellen die cut using foam tape.I tied a piece of rainbow organza ribbon onto the bottom corner of the die … well because I could!I adhered an acrylic dewdrop with Glossy Accents to carry through the bubbly theme.

Last weeks Challenge at the Let’s Get Stamping group had the rather uplifting twist of ‘Wings’.Before you start singing ‘Band on the Run’ it’s not THAT Wings. Here’s the sketch:

I’ve stamped ‘Willow with flower’ onto card cut with Nestabilities Labels 4 and coloured her with Promarkers.I then layered her onto a Nellie Snellen die cut piece of Papermania Textured card.I cut some K & Co paper and Lip Pattern punched the corners. This was then matted onto some more Textured card and had the same punch used on the corners.I cut the slider from the same Multi-Frame Ovals set using the same card.I then cut another from white card and very carefully cut out the centre and stamped the greeting.Flowers, pearls and some ribbon that, if you look closely, has butterflies on it add the finishing touches.
