I have had the honour of making a couple of samples for Suzette from Crafty Sentiments Designs for the Hochanda shows at 11 am and 3 pm on the 5th June.

It would be lovely if you could tune in and share the talented DT’s hard work.Plus Suzette’s fantastic demos of course 🙂

You may even spot my cards there!

Now on to my second card…

Splashing has been coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers this time. Some more white gel pen to add a little shine to the pup’s nose along with some glittery ripples in the puddle. This time I’ve made a Shaped Tent Fold card by only die cutting up to the fold then embossing the rest using a stitch effect die.

I think by using different mediums and colours it shows the versatility of this darling, fun stamp 🙂

Fairy Ring ;)

The challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week is Anything Goes.Drop on by to join in the fun and be in with the chance of winning a super prize.Don’t forget to take a look at some fabulous inspiration by the talented DT while you’re there.

Isn’t Isobel – Fairy by Crafty Sentiments Designs just the sweetest? After colouring her with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers her wings and shoes were given a coat of Iridescent Medium for some magical fairy sparkle.Next she was fussy cut and added to a pearlescent card base which had been embossed with a folder. It started out as a 5″ x 7″ blank but the folder was for an A6 card so I trimmed it down afterwards.Rather conveniently there were indentations left from the embossing which gave the prefect lines to follow 🙂 I was going to colour the flowers in but having seen the effect on this type of card I decided to leave it as it was.So glad I did as once I added the fairy mounted on foam tape I thought she stood out beautifully. There is shading under her feet but the other shadows are from the lighting (think this shows the dimension).I cut three pearl flowers from a string and coloured the centres with a Copic Ciao Marker. The sentiment is stamped directly onto the base to complete the card.

At Craft Your Passion the challenges are Always Anything Goes!We have the fabulous Little Blue Button Stamps as our sponsor too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job.

I’ve coloured up the beautiful and serene Mix Media “Peony” by Little Blue Button Stamps with Polychromos Pencils along with some Iridescent Medium painted over the hummingbird and her eyelids to give a shimmer to her green eye shadow. You may just be able to make it out?It was then cut out with a die to make it seem as though she had been torn from a sketch book. The sentiment has been stamped directly onto this piece too.I have to admit the card base was a little too small to place it elsewhere!I really wanted to use this die to cut the shaped card from as I thought it a good match for her hairstyle,so I had to compromise with the size.It measures around 5″ x 5″.The pretty paper was part of a magazine freebie.I stretched the lace across and held it in place with decorative staples. The flower, also supposed to a peony, I made myself by die cutting some white self adhesive fabric as it had a lovely texture.I coloured all the layers with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers and once dry I shaped the layers.I left the backing paper on the bottom flower to give it more stability. As I didn’t want the second flower or stamens to stick to anything else I dusted the backs with talc…which worked beautifully 🙂 A black gem has been added to the centre.Three white flat backed pearls adorn the top right hand corner as I always think they go so well with lace 🙂

This is my card I’ve made for Day 2 of the New Releases showcase at Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirational Blog featuring Isobel – Butterfly Fairy and will be available at Crafty Sentiments Designs shop soon.

Make sure you pay the inspirational blog a visit and check out all the wonderful creations the DT are sharing!

This adorable image has been coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers with some Iridescent Medium coating her wings (not sure if you can make it out in this pic,but it is there honest!).She was fussy cut then placed, mounted with foam tape,on a background of die cut pretty paper jigsaw pieces.I thought it would be fun to have the corner puzzle piece with the butterfly on fluttering away too 🙂 Found these little pearl flowers in my stash. They were originally pale pink so I whipped out a Copic Ciao that I’d used in  my colouring for better coordination. Finally stamped the sentiment directly onto the the kraft base 🙂

Candy that is good for your ‘Elf’!

At Craft Your Passion the challenges are Always Anything Goes!We have the fabulous A Day For Daisies as our sponsor too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job.

How adorable is Candy Elf C by A Day For Daisies?Totally! And what’s more this cutie is calorie and sugar free 😀 All coloured up with Copic Ciao Markers and 3D Crystal Lacquer on the sweetie for that cellophane wrapped feel…

Here’s a closer look. Please excuse that the reds look more pink on this one.Think it’s because I had to hold my craft lamp nearer to capture the shine. That’s what I’m really trying to show…

I also used a Graph’It Shake Marker in Gold to make the little dangly things on his hat jingle bell like, but I suppose they could be anything you want then to be depending what you added 😉

I placed him on this beautiful backing paper and layered with coordinating green card.Around this is wrapped a length of baker’s twine. The wooden candy cane is painted with Gesso.Once dry I lightly ran a red Stardust pen over the top, allowing the ink to flow so as not to clog the nib.Next (as I couldn’t find my clear Stardust pen) I coated the white stripes with Winsor & Newton Iridescent Medium. It’s quite sparkly IRL but the camera failed to pick it up ,and not my lack of photography skills as you’d assume 😉 After stringing the bells onto a shorter piece of twine they were tied on,finishing in a bow.A tiny dab of dries clear PVA stops the cut ends from fraying 🙂 The greeting has been embossed with a magazine freebie border folder.

The challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week is Calendars.Drop on by to join in the fun and be in with the chance of winning a super prize.Don’t forget to take a look at some fabulous inspiration by the talented DT while you’re there.

I wanted to make a calendar with a bit more purpose to it for my DD2 as she’s in her final year at Secondary school and in colours to match her recently decorated room.I thought this little beauty,Delightful Flowers  by Crafty Sentiments Designs, was perfect. Not only could I colour that big bloom to coordinate with the décor she’s also a rabbit on the Chinese Zodiac.Apart from dogs she love bunnies too 🙂 I’ve coloured on kraft here with my Polychromos Pencils and painted over the centre of the flower with Iridescent Medium. This card was a real find at my local craft warehouse. It’s double sided!Usually with kraft you get a ‘grey’ side. Not so good for fancy folds and 3D projects. So I bought a whole box of it!!Well…don’t want to run out 😉

My DD2 is struggling with exam nerves so this little gift may cheer her up a bit. This is what you get inside…

csdt2nov10th

A few bits and bobs to help with that all important revision.I might find a little choccy to pop in there too nearer to the time of giving it to her.

The instructions can be found here.

Of course,to go with this she needs an extra accessory….

deskpuppy

Desk Puppy!Although she has a day bed in DD2’s room so she can be close to her she prefers to sit under the desk where she can snuggle up to her legs!Or get in the way…The choice is yours 😀
