Craft Your Passion “All Star” Sports Blog Hop

Welcome to Craft Your Passion Challenges “All Star” Sports Blog Hop!!

If you have hopped over from Theresa, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by and would like to join our hop from the beginning, please go to
Craft Your Passion Challenges and follow along for a chance to win some AMAZING blog candy along the way and PRIZES at the end.
All Craft Your Passion DT members are going to be playing along in the hop with some very special guest designers.
Each designer along the way is featuring a project that showcases a digital image from at least one of our amazing Blog Hop Sponsors.
What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at Craft Your Passion Challenges for a chance to win one of several prizes.
Once you have finished the hop & left a comment for everyone, we would like you to create a Sports themed project using at least one STAR and enter it with our Linky tool.
While you are hopping, be sure to check out the blog candy some of the designer’s have to offer you. You don’t want to miss out on any of it!
I’ve made my first interlocking gatefold card.
And here’s what’s on the inside :
I’ve used the adorable Play Ball! from Robyn’s Fetish, one of our fabulous sponsors, and he’s been coloured with Copic Ciao and Sketch Markers .
* Here’s a tip for you.If using something like these star dies it may be better to miss out the one inbetween. This card does open and close but not very smoothly. Not that it matters as I’ve made this for my son so I can help him open it 🙂 All part of the learning process I suppose.*
Next stop by Niina , to see what she has in store for you today.
Remember, once you have hopped to all the stops and left your comments (we will be checking), it’s your turn to show us your “ALL STAR SPORTS” project.
Make sure to include a STAR somewhere on your project, and link up your project over at Craft Your Passion Challenges by Midnight CST September 16 to be eligible for the prizes. Winners will be announced on our Monday, September 17th Challenge post.
Here is the hop order in case you get lost along the way….

Sketchy daisies

This week at Craft Your Passion we have a fabulous sketch by Jenn :

We have 3 sponsors too – Robyn’s Fetish,Simon Says Stamp and The Robin’s Nest.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!

For my card I’ve used the sweet Daisy Days from Robyn’s Fetish and coloured her using Polychromos pencils along with a blender pencil.I’ve teamed some beautiful freebie Nit Wits papers from a past issue of Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine with some kraft card. The papers are double sided and the pinky red is actually the reverse of the green plaid pattern. All edges have been roughed up with a paper distresser. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft’s Life Clear Mini Stamp Set.There are some really lovely sentiments in this and very reasonably priced too!If you like sentiments you really should check these sets out!The wooden buttons have been stained with Distress Ink and tied with paper twine. One of the buttons has been replaced with a wooden ladybird ‘cos I couldn’t pass up the chance to use something as cute as this!!

Elephantastic!

At Pear Tree Designs this week the challenge is Birthday.A nice easy one I think – hope you agree! Our sponsor for this challenge is Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps and the lucky winner will get to choose 3 digi stamps of their choice!!Plus there is plenty of inspiration from the DT.So three very good reasons to play along this week – go on,you know you want to 😉

There is also a DT call for one member as we’re sadly losing the lovely and talented Karen. So pop on over for more details on how to apply.

For this card I’ve used ‘An Elephant never forgets’ from Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps.I just couldn’t resist this little (?) guy – he’s so cute and looks so full of fun!Plus I love elephants and he’s a fantastic example of one! He’s been coloured with Promarkers and I’ve used Glossy Accents for the spray of water he’s squirting out of his trunk.I was lucky that I managed to capture it on camera!Click on the pic for a larger view. The papers are K & Co and the cardstock is Papermania Textured.I’ve used a Martha Stewart Traditional Scallop Edge Punch and a large corner rounder.I cut some felt with a  Sizzix Bigz Flower,Beauty Bloom die and tied some embroidery thread around a large brad before fixing it in the centre. The sentiment comes from the Hero Arts  Elephants clear stamps set. The edges have been coloured with Promarkers and I’ve attached brads in each corner.Perfect for this card.
