Up,up and away!

This week at Craft Your Passion it’s time for a photo inspiration challenge. We have the fabulous Some Odd Girl as our sponsor.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!

Here’s a little peek at the pic :

For my card I’ve used A little lift from Just Some Lines. She’s been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers and the sky created with Distress Ink using a template from Bev Rochester’s blog All the Things I Love.I applied it with an old Kabuki makeup brush (thoroughly cleaned and dried first,of course!!),kind of squeezing the bristles into a point. This way it adds more definition to the edged of the inking and enables you to get in close to the image. When I first saw this photo the papers and image just popped into my head and just seemed so perfect. All the blue card is a lovely pearlised and textured card but not sure if this comes across in the photo.I added some brads and acute metal tab from a pack I picked up in a bargain bucket at my local craft warehouse.

Supplies :

Owl shook up!

It’s Pauline’s turn to host this week at Willow Sketchie Challenge and here’s her fabby sketch :

There is also a theme of Warm Colours (Red,Orange,Yellow etc..).Don’t forget you can use the sketch along with the theme or choose either one to play along. You could be the lucky winner of a voucher to spend at Willow Designs too! As well as a winner (chosen randomly) there will be a hand picked Top 3 and they will receive a super cute badge for their blog.Don’t forget to stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational bunch.

Sadly this will be Pauline’s last challenge with us 😦  Will miss you and your wonderful Willow creations (and sketches!),hun.

I’ve used Bit Chilly clear stamp from Willow Designs and coloured this cut little owl with ProMarkers.Woodware Fluffy Stuff has been added to the trim on his hat and to the drippy snow on the branch. The central panel has been edged using a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set.An aperture has been cut and framed in the middle, then acetate placed behind. The red card for the frame was more of an orangey tone so I colour tinted it with an ink pad. Before adhering the image under this with foam tape I added some glittery tinsel stuff that was a magazine freebie last year.So there you have it I made a shaker card! To decorate the card I’ve added some wire edged ribbon tied in a bow, with a brad stuck into it and used the corner punch waste for some extra detail.

Supplies :

Fairy-ly pearly!

It’s Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion this week!We have two fab sponsors –My Heart Pieces and Simon Says Stamp.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!

For my card I’ve used the delightful Bathing Fairy from My Heart Pieces and coloured her with FlexMarkers.I added some touches of glaze pen to the lenses on her glasses and wings. To give her bath a more luxurious feel I applied Liquid Pearls to the bubbles and dotted some more around the image. For something different and instead of the out of the box technique I cut another scalloped circle from a second printed image and layered it over the part of the original image that had been cut away.I was going to layer it onto a piece of coloured card to give a spotlighting effect but decided I didn’t want to cover any of the image.I die cut a few circles and adhered them to the vertical strip to carry through the bubbly theme.I recently bought the ivy and bird die and thought it would work perfectly alongside this image. The sentiment was a freebie from BirdsCards and there’s a small amount of Liquid Pearls on that too.To finish the card there are some flat back pearls too!

Supplies :

Image : Bathing Fairy from My Heart Pieces
Sentiment : BirdsCards
