Aren’t these just the most cute fun dinosaurs you could wish to meet?!They’re from the Tiny Dinos set by Doodle Pantry. As with all their sets you get so much in them¬†ūüėĬ†Here I’ve printed the dinos onto some of the patterned papers included with them.I’d already printed them onto card as I wanted extra stability once they were fussy cut.Their eyes and the spots on the stegosaurus have been paper pieced. The spots have even been done so with spotty paper ¬†ūüėČ I die cut some hills for them to play on and the sentiment, which is also included, has been cut with a stitching edged die.A couple of eyelets have been used to embellish. The dinos and the sentiment have been popped up on foam tape for dimension.Yeah,I know I’ve backed the scene with white rather than a sky blue. That’s for more contrast against the kraft and the card the sentiment is mounted on ūüôā

At Craft Your Passion the challenges are Always Anything Goes!We have the fabulous Doodle Pantry as our sponsor too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job.

I took delivery of a very special item last week.My DH paid partly for it as a gift as it was my birthday earlier this month.I just had to take the opportunity to play with it using the fabulous Float Yer Goat by Doodle Pantry. As you get papers in the set, along with images and sentiments,it seemed ideal for this type of project!Brilliant value for money too ūüôā

This is what I got ūüėÄ

It’s a Big Shot Plus! And as it was only ¬£15 more¬†I grabbed one with the Starter Kit.Only because, for me,the dies and A4 embossing folder look so useful.(Yes,it still has the protective plastic on the top handle.I’m leaving it on for as long as poss!)

I started by printing the patterned paper from the set onto A4 cardstock then cut out the box using the die.Easiest box I ever made ūüôā Cut some the tag die from¬†kraft card, cut the sentiment using it too but trimmed it to fit inside the tag by hand. Also die cut the scribble flower and scalloped edge to decorate.I did use a different tag die for the pre-coloured version of the goat, using the same method as before.A button, twine and dew drops –¬†voil√†!Mission complete ūüôā Am going to fill this with some sweet treats for my DH as part of his Father’s Day pressie. It’s good to get ahead ūüėÄ

I just had to choose this adorable little Berry Hedgehog¬†by Doodle Pantry and colour him with my Copic Ciao Markers. You do also get pre-coloured versions of him along with a selection of papers and a couple of sentiments.I ended up pulling these magazine freebie papers out instead tho’ as my printer ran out of ink leaving the bottom faded – not a good look!Decided to make a shaped card with stuff hanging over the edge to add more interest.Die cut some different leaves and the matching blueberries are actually holly ones ūüôā Made this for my DD2’s birthday next month as she loves hedgies almost as much as me!!

Have a ‘horse-some’ Birthday!

cypdt31stmar 001

At¬†Craft Your¬†Passion¬†this week the challenge is Shaped Cards or Anything But Square. We have the fabulous¬†Doodle¬†Pantry¬†as our¬†sponsor too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don‚Äôt forget to take a look at the DT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job.

Well..I have to admit I own a Grand Calibur, some Grand Nesties and some Go Kreate Half XXL Frames…so why do I grab a square card every time?! Convenience…laziness…perhaps because they’re buried in the cupboard under stacks of other crafty stuff?Hmmm…not really sure :S So I decided to have fun creating a card with the super adorable Charlie Daisy by Doodle Pantry. Not only do you get Charlie himself (in both B/W outline and colour) you get a whole host of goodies including backing papers, sentiments and lots of other elements to print in¬†outline or colour form to use as embellishments or even as the focal point of your card ūüėÄ Firstly I coloured Charlie using¬†Copic Ciao Markers to coordinate with the papers.Next I pulled out my Grand Calibur and Go Kreate dies to cut the base card and a couple of layers.A panel featuring the other patterned paper has been set askew. As I wanted some texture I pulled out a piece of this wavy corrugated card and stapled a¬†length of raffia lace to it.To embellish I cut out a few pre-coloured daisies and butterflies, adding dots of 3D Crystal Lacquer to them and also to the butterfly that has landed, rather cheekily,on Charlie’s nose.I printed out the sentiment and to create the ‘lozenge’ shape I took the smaller version of the dies I cut the base from and gave them a quarter turn, then trimmed.I adhered it to the orange die cut piece then cut it down to make sure I got it right!Time for some more staples¬†ūüôā¬†I tend to add these on the wonk so there’s no pressure and disappointment when they’re not where they should be!!

Supplies :

Sentiment : From Charlie Daisy by Doodle Pantry

A bit of Zentang-owl!

At¬†Craft Your¬†Passion¬†this week the challenge is¬†Add Some Doodling. We have the fabulous Doodle Pantry¬†as our¬†sponsors too.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don‚Äôt forget to take a look at the DT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job.

So,I thought I would challenge myself!!I’ve done faux stitching, wobbly frames, frames using a ruler in the past…now to try something different!!And I couldn’t have found a more perfect image than this delightful Quirky Owl by Doodle Pantry¬†.There are lots of other Quirky animals if owls ain’t your thing ūüôā Must admit it was a little strange armed with only a fine liner rather than an array of colours not say a bit daunting…but I found a useful site here.I was still feeling nervy as I began but as I went along I learned to let go and enjoy it!Of course I had the added pressure of this being a DT card and the fact that time was of the essence. Why don’t I ever take the easy route?!Not sure I got it all right and there are probably loads of mistakes that a seasoned Zentangler could spot but I’m quite pleased with the overall effect ūüôā I just had to use the pretty papers that came with the image to create a banner backdrop for him to perch amongst along with one of the sentiments also in the set.Following on from the theme I,naturally, drew in some faux stitching around the edges of the base card and banners ūüėÄ

Supplies :

Image : Quirky Owl by Doodle Pantry
Medium : Sakura Pigma Micron 0.5mm Pen
Sentiment : From Quirky Owl
Papers & Card : DP included with Quirky Owl,Craft UK Limited 6 x 6 Kraft Card Blanks

P-laid back frog

No Design paper is the challenge at Craft Your Passion this week.We also have the fabulous Doodle Pantry,Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Pizzazzaplenty as our sponsors.Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!

On my card I’ve used Little Frog from Doodle Pantry. This is a great value set.It comes with two different images, uncoloured and coloured. There are two fab backing papers and two sentiments too. This is one of the uncoloured images that I coloured with ProMarkers.I gave him a coating with a clear glaze pen to give him the waxy sheen that tree frogs have and gave him some nice bulbous eyes with Glossy Accents.I’ve two¬†different¬†techniques for the backgrounds. The plaid pattern is drawn onto plain white cardstock using a ruler and ProMarkers.I love the way the colours overlap as the ink is translucent. The other backing is made by passing a piece of Whitewash card through an embossing folder then sanded. This is actually supposed to be a Christmas one but I think it can be used anytime. I dug out some¬†acrylic¬†dew drops to embellish.

Supplies :
Image and sentiment : Little Frog from Doodle Pantry
Colouring mediums : ProMarkers,Sakura Clear Glaze Pen,Glossy Accents

‘Ant’ you grateful?

It’s a Photo Inspiration¬†challenge¬†at Craft Your Passion this week.We have Doodle Pantry as our fabulous sponsor too.So head on over to check how to play and win.Don‚Äôt forget to take a look at DT and GDT inspiration, they‚Äôve done a wonderful job!

Here’s the photo :

For my card I’ve used the delightful¬†Falling¬†Ants¬†¬†from Doodle Pantry. It’s actually a set and comes with 3 main images,2 flowers and 4 sentiments!Such value for money.I’ve coloured this image with Koh-I-Noor Gioconda Soft Pastel Pencils on kraft card and set them with a fixative. He’s been cut out with Eastern Ovals Nellie’s Multi Frame Dies. The card base has been cut from kraft too with the bottom corners¬†rounded¬†with a Siesta¬†Large¬†Corner Rounder Punch. The edges of have been inked with¬†Tangelo,Potter’s Clay and a¬†teeny¬†amount of Rich Cocoa. The papers came with a freebie calendar from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine last year(!)¬†This¬†has been¬†layered onto some¬†orange¬†and¬†¬†brown card from my stash.I’ve used a EK Success Large ¬†Edger Hawaiian¬†Flower Punch¬†on the¬†bottom layer. The sentiment from the same set as the ant image has been positioned and printed straight onto the base.I¬†think¬†this could be used in many different ways to express different kinds of thankfulness.Coupled with this cute image I’d like it to convey how we should appreciate the¬†enjoyable¬†times we get to spend with those closest to us,our family. Some¬†natural raffia, copper brads and a copper Creative Expressions Craft Stapler Daisy have been used to embellish.
