At Digi Sketch Challenge we have another new challenge and the theme this fortnight is Vintage. We have the super LEJ Designs as our sponsor.

It’s the lovely Nonni’s turn to host and here’s her fabby sketch :

You can follow the sketch, theme or even both.Hope you stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational bunch.

Sadly this is Nonni’s last challenge with us 😦 Going to miss you and your beautiful creations.

For my card I’ve used the beautiful Fair Maiden  by LEJ Designs and coloured her with Copic Ciao Markers.I wanted to go for a more sepia type colouring but kept her skin in more pinky tones (I’ve tried before with sepia toned skin and hated it so much it ended up in the bin!).I added some pink to her cheeks, lips and the rose she is holding.I teamed her with some pretty Papermania Vintage Notes papers. All edges have been distressed with both inks and a tool. The lace I picked up in The Works for a very reasonable price and it was nice to see some more crafty bargains making their way back onto their shelves 🙂 I had a play with some Fran-tage Embossing Enamel for the first time.It was fun but sooo messy,or maybe that was just me XD .I made some rolled roses and a bigger one using a flower die which I cut, stuck and layered up.The metal frame, also a new addition in The Works and originally silver, got the Fran-tage treatment too.The sentiment behind it was from a freebie stamp set that came with September’s issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The frame is held in place with a couple of pearl brads.

With regret I have to tell you that this will also be my last challenge for Digi Sketch Challenge 😦

I’ve had a blast meeting some lovely, talented people and watching the challenge grow.May it continue successfully in the future. Thanks Kelly for being such a great leader.

For my card I’ve used one of the images from Social Butterfly Printable Stamp Set by The Cutting Cafe and coloured it digitally to make it a pretty pink. You get so much in these sets – fabulous value for money 🙂 I’ve layered up some beautiful rose patterned paper, pink card and a crisp white embossed piece.Over that I’ve adhered a punched strip with Washi Tape added over the top.I fussy cut the butterfly including the inside of the wings to allow the underneath layers of the card to peek through and to give it some extra delicacy.I shaped it with my fingers for more dimension before attaching it to the card.I’ve arranged some square gems in the corners to balance the whole thing out.

Here’s my sketch :

dsc 25th march

You can follow the sketch, theme or even both.Hope you stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational bunch.

For my card I’ve used the whistful Tiny Mermaid 2 by A Day For Daisies and coloured her with Copic Ciao Markers.I mounted the image on some pretty pearlescent textured card.I die cut different sized circles from a paper pad that was a freebie last Summer from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. The striped one has a piece of tulle overlaid, cut from the same size circle die.I adhered it to the parts that wouldn’t show when all the circles were in place.Three pink pearls were added to the smallest circle.I stamped the sentiment directly on to the base card and dotted the i with another pearl.Well you have to have pearls with mermaids, don’t you? 🙂

It’s an exciting day today! It’s the very first Digi Sketch Challenge and the theme this fortnight is ♥ Love is in the Air ♥.We have the super Scrapiness Designs as our sponsor.

Kelly is hosting this time and here is the fabby sketch :

You can follow the sketch, theme or even both.Hope you stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational bunch.

For my card I’ve used papers and elements from Mini Kit Oh,My Love! by Scrapiness Designs and layered them up in Word to create an all-in-one topper. All part of the design and not…er…because I was nearly out of ink in my printer and thought I stood a better chance of at least printing one thing you understand 😉 LOL…Anyway I added some Stickles to the heart and the hedgies to create texture, adhered some teeny buttons on top of the bows and went over the sentiment with a clear glaze pen to highlight it.So quick easy that’s me done!Beauty of these type of kits – you can craft any way you please!

I’ve rotated the sketch and followed the theme.
