Going bananas!

We have a colour challenge for you at Craft Your Passion this week :

Green,Yellow,Black and White. We also have three fabulous sponsors Lauretta’s Digital Stamps,CoCoDingo and Letraset. So head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!

I’ve used cute Baby Monkey Banana from Lauretta’s Digital Stamps and coloured him with ProMarkers. The papers are printed from Craft The Year Away CD-rom from Funky Hand.I’ve mounted everything on black card. The image and mat have been cut using Grand Nestabilities Ovals.I’ve added some black brads and some fluffy fibres in keeping with the fuzzy little monkey. With such an impact of colour I decided to keep the layout simple.I also carried the design over into the inside :

Pretty Lacy

It’s time to get out all your pretty stuff and go Girly Girl for this week’s challenge at Craft Your Passion. We have the fabulous Lauretta’s Digital Stamps and CoCoDingo as sponsors. For details on how to play and the chance to win some free digi stamps please pay us a visit.Don’t forget to take a look at the DT and GDT’s beautiful work. We’re also always on the look out for GDT’s to join us every month so if you’re interested just add your name to the list.

Here I’ve used the beautiful Rockette from CoCo Dingo.I’ve made her pretty and girly but using different colours/papers she could easily be turned into a great image for a Teens card. She’s been coloured with Promakers.I’ve cut the base card and paper using Grand Nestabilties Dies.I didn’t want to cover up too much of this gorgeous paper so I just mounted her onto some coordinating card cut with my new Nellie’s Multi Frame dies and added a strip that has had the edge cut with a Nellie’s Multi Frame Border die. This has been overlayed with some lace from my stash. The ribbon rose has been created by my own fair hand!None of my glues would adhere the slippery material so I just formed it in my hands, turned it over and stitched the layers together.I’m really gonna have to invest in a hot glue gun.I couldn’t help but fashion some leaves too.All this from someone who can’t sew for a toffee!!

Goal-den Boy

This week at Craft Your Passion it’s a colour challenge of Red,Green and Black. So please click on the link for some brilliant DT inspiration and details on how to win some digital stamps!

I thought this image of Choupinou soccer from CocoDingo would be perfect for the colours in the challenge and I would get the chance to make another card for my youngest’s birthday next month. He’s a Man U fan too – not at all influenced by my DH – well…yes actually!Although it may not be strictly their strip the colours are close enough. He’s been coloured with Promarkers and cut out with Labels 3 Nestabilities. The backing paper is actually a Christmas one. It’s Daisy and Dandelion A Winter’s Tale. All card is from my stash. The red one with zig zag pattern was bought like that – I think it’s great for men’s cards. The football is a die cut I bought  in a pack when I first started cardmaking.I coloured it with Promarkers. The sentiment is from an old See D’s set and that has also been coloured with Promarkers.I’ve also used a large corner rounder punch.

Here are a few challenges this card is also for :

Meljen’s Designs : Clean and Simple

Pals Paper Arts : KISS Masculine

Stamp n Doodle : Birthday Card

Shirley’s 2 Girls : Back to school and add something red

Papertake Weekly : White and Bright
