Spotted checking out the garden

It’s Hazel’s turn to host the Willow Sketchie Challenge this week and here’s her fabby sketch :

There is also a theme of Lots of Layers. You can choose to follow the sketch or theme. You can also do both if you’d like. You could be the lucky winner of a voucher to spend at Willow Designs too!Don’t forget to stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational  bunch.

For my card I’ve used a new digi stamp called Busy in the Garden by Willow Designs.Ain’t she sweet!I’ve coloured her with FlexMarkers and decoupaged her.She even has shiny wellies!

You can just make out the glimmer of light reflecting off the 3D Crystal Lacquer.

And here’s a closer view of the decoupaged effect.

The papers are from the Polly Pickleberry CD-rom by Willow Designs.I’m still ploughing my way through these. There are so many wonderful designs :)I’ve also used my new flower die that I picked up at my local craft warehouse for the bargainous £3.59.Been after these a while  so sometimes it obviously pays to wait!I added some teeny gems to the centres and layered some leaves behind them.

This is what my DH had in mind for me this Easter weekend (cheers mate!) but as our lovely weather has totally broken I may have just wriggled out of it – hopefully! Not that I don’t like gardening. It just plays havoc with my back I usually end up bent double looking like I’m trying to touch my toes for a week afterwards!Ouch!

Just dotty (and stripey) about bunnies!

Dots and Stripes is the theme this week at Craft Your Passion. We have A Day for Daisies,Scrapper’s Delights and Bunny Zoe as our fabulous sponsors too!Head on over to check how to play and win.Don’t forget to take a look at DT and GDT inspiration, they’ve done a wonderful job!

I’ve used the cute Spring Rabbit  from A Day for Daisies.I’ve coloured him with Polychromos pencils to try and achieve a furry effect.I don’t think this turned out too bad. The sentiment I stamped out under the image.I didn’t think of it until after I’d coloured  him in.I really wish I had a Happy Spring stamp but I think this gives you the excuse to be happy anytime!I finished the card with some lovely dotted ribbon and some die cut flowers, with flower shaped brads added to the centres, placed over a swirl to give the effect of a stem.
