FebSale_Sm

Don’t forget the current 99¢ Digi Deal stamps are only available until March 1st and then they will be gone forever! If see something you like grab it while you still have the chance!

On to my card.I’ve used Charming from the Valentines category at Digi Doodle Shop (it’s included in the sale too!) and coloured it with FlexMarkers.Maybe the colour scheme is a little unconventional for a Valentine card but as this is for my DH and I don’t think girly pinky reds smothered in love hearts are really his style it also suits this slithery pair.Plus it also gave me another chance to play with this fabby paper I picked up in a sale!I pricked the papers using the We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Tool with a couple of different heads and added some faux stitching. The charm, which started out as a plain ol’ antique brass one ’til I added some colours with matching FlexMarkers, has been sewn on for real but loosely to still allow some movement.I wasn’t sure about colouring the charm at first but once I’d committed to it I quite liked it 🙂 Have to say I found FlexMarkers lend themselves better to this technique than my ProMarkers.Must be the brush tips that leave a streak free finish.Having decided I wanted to use a heart matting piece I quickly realised I don’t own any heart shaped dies. Not to be thwarted by such a detail I made my own templates with a Flower Soft tub and a pot of my daughter’s Clearasil pads along with a ruler for the straight part.I think they turned out pretty well and actually don’t nest too badly. To cover up any discrepancies that did occur may have occurred in my cutting out I distressed all the edges.I recycled a piece of corrugated card that packaged my beautiful Rennie Mackintosh calendar that my DH bought me as part of my Christmas present. After peeling off the top layer I roughed it up with a sanding block as well as distressing the edges. The sentiment is my own creation and I admit it!

If I knew you were comin’…

I’d’ve baked a cake…or four!

Bit of a nailbiter as it’s my turn to host over at Willow Sketchie Challenge! And here’s said sketchie :

Don’t forget to stop by the challenge site and check out my fellow DT’s beautiful creations.A truly inspirational  bunch.

You could be the lucky winner of a voucher to spend at Willow Designs too!

For my card I’ve used on of the digi stamps from the Polly Pickleberry CD-rom from Willow Designs and coloured her with FlexMarkers. The camera hasn’t really picked up the glaze pen I’ve added to the cherries and shoes 😦 And what idiot forgot to take a close-up?Oh,that’ll be me then. The pretty patterned paper is from the CD-rom too.As are the paper ribbon, that I’ve trimmed and shaped in to a banner, and the greeting.I’ve teamed these with some luverly orange card and felt for a bright n’ breezy feel.I’ve also donated a couple of buttons (need a lie down – feeling a bit faint!) threaded with orange stripey baker’s twine.Yum!

There’s also a DT call going on.How exciting!

The real life CatDog!
She obviously doesn’t realise she’s a cat otherwise she’d have chased herself!Oh yes,she really LOVES cats!!
*Note*Our dog doesn’t seem to mind being dressed up.I wouldn’t make her wear something that would hurt her or if she removed it herself I wouldn’t put it back on her.
