Handbags and Gladrags

Over at Craft Your Passion this week it’s ANYTHING GOES.Go on go wild and get creative!!There’s also some digi stamps waiting for one lucky winner. Why not pay us a visit to check out the rules and play along. There’s loads of inspiration from the DT’s wonderful creations too.

I thought I’d have some fun with this Sacoche image from CoCo Dingo Digital Stamps.I bought a pack of card with animal prints a while back to use with some animal stamps I had but never got round to it ( as per usual – so many ideas so little time!).It also made a change from reaching for the Promarkers.Plus animal prints are big in fashion at this season.I have to admit I don’t wear them myself.Personally I think they look far more beautiful on the animals nature graced them with.In fact the only animal print clothes I’ve ever worn were a pair of leopard spot jeans I found after seeing the girl in Michael Jackson’s Thriller video wearing them.I don’t thimk I looked as good as her tho’!!Er…anyway back to the card.Because the card is glossy I embossed it with black detail powder as soon as it came out of the printer. Not only beacause it would’ve taken an age for the ink to dry but to define the outline. It also acted as a reservoir to contain the glue before the glitter was added and a white paint pen I used on the flower on the front of the bag.I also paper pieced it using foam pads for more dimension.

It’s a bit OTT glam and I really can’t imagine who on Earth I could really give this to.I just wanted to play around and have fun!

This also reminds me of the theme from The Office  – an incedibly funny programme starring Ricky Gervais.Oh and the Stereophonics version of the song.Hence the title.
