Orange I Lucky?

Woohoo!!More good news for me!I made it onto the Digi Doodle Shop’s Best DT!I couldn’t believe it but I’m thrilled to bits!

Here I’ve worked with Nasturtiums (it’s on sale too!).I just love these flowers!I remember my Mum growing these every Summer and the vibrant colours.Given the challenge theme these leapt out at me and as my Mum is sadly no longer with us it seemed a fitting tribute.I have to admit as a rule I don’t really use  much orange and after making this card I will definintely use it more.Originally I had picked a more subtle shade to back the image  but once I’d coloured them it just didn’t look right.So I had a rummage and found this piece of paper.Given the boldness of the colours I wanted to keep everything else a simple.I’ve often seen this quilting effect and I’d recently purchased a Martha Stewart Score Board for the bargainous price of £14.99 at my local craft warehouse   – so I gave it a whirl. I’m really pleased with my first attempt and it wasn’t too difficult which suits me very well!!
