A present surprise!

Here’s my DT card this week for Craft Your Passion.There is the prize of digital images for one lucky winner.Why not drop by for more details and take a look at the amazing work by the DT.This time there is a sketch to follow:

I got to work with this cute little fella.He’s called ‘Choupinou cadeau’ and is available at CoCoDingo.He reminds me so much of my DS1 – a cheeky chap with a heart of gold.So I coloured him with Promarkers,giving him a shock of blonde hair.Just like my boy.I cut the piece out using Eastern Oval Nellie’s Multi Frame Dies.I used a mix of Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks around the edges.Now because I’d used the largest one for the image I then had to cut the matting piece by going around the edge with a craft knife. I covered up the raw edges with a Promarker in a complimentary shade.Next I embossed the two panels with the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder.The paper is K & Co Hopscotch.The coloured card is Papermania Textured.I stamped the greeting from a  Forever Friends Christmas stamp that came free with a magazine.I’ve used a Lip Pattern punch on the corners,inked up my base card in the same Distress Inks and added 3(!) of my precious buttons.I LOVE using them but HATE giving them away!I think I will give this to my Son for his Birthday – that way they get to stay in the family!

I tried something new ( well for me at least).I’ve decorated the inside too :

I’ve used the same materials as on the front except I used a smaller version of the image and the addition of faux buttons cut from Circle Nesties – well normal ones would just be TOO bulky wouldn’t they?OK so it means I wouldn’t have to part with any more real ones.I created the verse on the computer.
