Oranges and…er…limes?

The colour combo challenge this week at Passion for ProMarkers  is Bright Green and Mango.I’m also entering this card for C.R.A.F.T.‘s ‘Citrus’ challenge,Ooh-la-la-Creations ‘Anything Goes’,Stamp,Scrap & Doodle Saturdays ‘Open Challenge’ and Stampavie and more ‘Use some Orange on your project’.

I’m not sure of the name of this little cutie as I acquired her in a swap but she has been coloured with Promarkers with some white gel pen highlights.I’ve used a Lip Pattern punch on the corners and on the layer behind her. These have been mounted onto a Nellie Snellen Multi-Frame Rectangles die.The K & Co patterned paper has been punched with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Flower set from the recent QVC  TSV.The pieces behind this have just had the corners punched. The strip has been made with a Marianne Designs Ribbon Border Die 1 and has been threaded with grosgrain ribbon. The flower has been created using Marianne Designs Creatables Floral Dies 1 and the leaf is from a Ribbon Flower Die Set 3 by the same designer. All card is Core’dinations Gemstones and has been sanded lightly.

We fade to grey…

I made this primarily for the ‘Shades of Grey’ challenge at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge but it’s also an entry for Die Cut Dreams ‘No Flowers Allowed’,Kaboodle Doodles ‘Happy Birthday’ (as this was a card  for my DH’s Birthday),Ooh-la-la-Creations Challenge Blog ‘Anything Goes’,Stamp Scrap & Doodle Saturday ‘Open Challenge’ and Allsorts ‘Just for Men’.I think that just about wraps it up!

The image is Manga Boy by Sugar Nellie and has been coloured using all shades of Cool Grey Promarkers with Ivory and Dusky Pink skin tones.I used Red to give him some “Rock on Tommy” braces – I couldn’t resist! – and for the patch. The corners were punched with a Large Corner Rounder and Black Soot Distress Ink was applied around the edges with a latex foam wedge. They’re the dirt cheap ones that are so rubbish to put your make-up on with but work fabulously with these inks.He was then mounted onto a Nellie Snellen Multi-FrameRectangles die cut.The papers are from the Funky Hand Papercraft Factory CD.The brackets are cut from a Sizzix BigZ die and I attached them using some brads from my stash. The slider was cut from the same Nellie Snellen rectangles set and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Anytime Messages set.The grey ribbon is recycled and used to be one of those really annoying pieces sewn into tops to stop them sliding off the hanger.I hope my DH never gets to see the Dorothy Perkins printed on the reverse!!
